Tranquility on the Lake

Tranquility is a Lake Michigan view home built with relaxation in mind. This upscale home is furnished comfortably to make a stay feel personal. With 3 stories, everyone can have their own space while being close to the beach and backyard area. The first floor which is street level, has one king-sized bedroom with an ensuite bath and shower. There are three bedrooms on the second floor; two queen-sized bedrooms with ensuite bathroom and a third bedroom with bunk beds with a trundle. This room has a private bathroom with shower. Guests have access to a screened porch seating area or the front porch just to sit and listen to the water or the birds early morning. The third floor is the gathering area with a full kitchen, laundry room and master bedroom with an ensuite completely tiled shower with river rock floor, a tiled seat and rainfall showerhead. The shower is also equipped with 4 jets to hit every spot. The tub is deep and large enough for someone over 6’4”. This floor also has a screened porch with sitting area and table and chairs for dining.
Outdoors in the back are a Green Egg grill and a Weber barbecue grill. The table and chairs allow you to listen to the waterfall among the lush plantings while you cook. The front yard has beautiful landscaping with Adirondack chairs and a fire pit to enjoy the sunset or s’mores, or both!
A short tram ride takes you down to the private Lake Michigan beach to cool off on hot summer days. In the garage are water toys for the beach, chairs and umbrellas.

Life Changing Bonding for Three Generations

We had an incredible week filled with playing in the lake, viewing the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, bonfires, s’mores, and meals together outside. We had an incredible week of family bonding. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay at this house as the owner was very responsive to any questions or challenges we had. For example the property listing noted that it had a hair dryer and we could not find one. The owner sent a new one the next day in the mail. The property is in great shape with high end finishes and a clear view of the lake from the 2nd and 3rd floor which both have screened in areas for viewing. Also the property owners provided all the outdoor items needed including beach chairs, towels, grill and fire pit equipment. Overall we enjoyed the place as the bedrooms are spacious and most of them have on suite bathrooms. While we give it a thumbs up overall a couple of quirks to note. The main floor is the 3rd floor so be prepared to walk some flights of stairs. This was only a concern for my mother who is 83 and has a bad knee. It just takes her a while to navigate stairs. The other quirk was that there is no useable closet or hanging rack in the main bedroom. I think it would be there but is locked off as an owners storage area. Aside from these unexpected quirks the property is great and we would rent again if the opportunity presents itself.

Family Vacation

Our family (8 adults and 4 kids) stayed for a week and really enjoyed our stay. Communication of any questions or issues was addressed quickly. The tram is the only way to get to the beach, the provided information made it easy to understand. Lovely house and quiet area.

Beautiful sunsets

Beautiful house and property, amazing sunsets and beach access. Would be nice to have code to staircase lock to beach, and more than 1 tram key for a large group. Great family vacation! Would highly recommended this property.

Great home and beach

We really enjoyed the house - plenty of beds and bathrooms for the eight of us. House was pristine, well-appointed, and the owner was responsive. The top floor was great for my elderly parents since it had kitchen, bedroom, family room, and deck all on one floor. We also really liked the many places to lounge - two nice decks, a porch, and a nice backyard area with gas and charcoal grills. The garage had a lot of extras for the house and the beach. Definitely a better-appointed house than most we've stayed in. Also easy access to nearby towns for groceries, dinners, etc. The Lake Michigan beach is about two blocks away and requires a short tram ride down a steep bluff (or 148 stairs for those who don't mind the walk). It's a great spot - peaceful and pretty. Only caution is that the house is very vertical - lots of stairs to get in and move around. Same is true of the beach - even with the tram, there are steep steps to complete the journey down to the beach. So if you have elders who dislike stairs, just note this - getting our two elders in and out of the house took a bit of doing and we didn't take them to the private beach because of the tricky final stairs. We would definitely endorse this house and its owner and could see ourselves returning to it!

Great family gathering

This house is beautiful, well maintained and big enough to give 3 families space when needed Living and dining rooms huge. Great kitchen. Porches perfect and played nightly games on 3rd floor screened in porch. Private beach was a bit rocky. South beach was great for family. Hosts were easy to communicate with and very helpful. Be prepared to climb some steps! Overall a wonderful place to stay.

Great Family Vacation!

What a fantastic house! Great views of the lake, a large outdoor patio area, plenty of seating for the whole family and a large kitchen that has everything you need. The house is very clean and the bedrooms are spacious, with plenty of pillows, blankets and towels. The owner was great to deal with! We can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful home in perfect location with lake views!

Our family spent a week in this beautiful home with peaceful lake views. We enjoyed the two screened porches, two outdoor patio areas, including fire pit area, as well as a large kitchen and living area that comfortably seated our group. The home is thoughtfully and beautifully furnished and decorated throughout. Being a few minutes from Downtown South Haven and Saugatuck made visiting beaches, shopping and restaurants easy and fun. Our communication with the host was helpful and prompt. We would love to stay again soon!

Excellent Property and Location

This home was very clean, extremely well furnished and located about 100 yards from the Lake, with great views from the second and third floors. We really appreciated the extra spaces on different floors. With six adults and three children we were often all together, but could easily separate when we needed it. South Haven is a really cool little town with great shopping and outstanding beaches. The house has all the extras you will need and the host was exceptionally friendly and accommodating.

Wonderful South Haven Home

Owner was great to interact with before, during, and after our trip. The property is modern and wonderful and was enjoyed by all. The house is also close to the lake with great views. The layout allows for great times together as a large group as well as space when you need it. Lots of amenities and extras included.

Great porches with Lake Michigan views

A fantastic home, outfitted with all the things you’ll need for a easy summer getaway. With super comfortable furnishings, spread out on three floors, multiple porches and living/sitting areas, it’s great for a large group to both convene together and have some alone time. Convenient and quick drive into South Haven. Lots of stairs, not ideal for those with bad knees, but great if you’re looking to get in extra steps!
