Arrived to check in around 10pm. The male who was working at the front desk was sitting, with his phone on speaker, talking to someone. Everyone could hear it, it was not business related. He said he’d be right with me, and I’m about to cry, the roads were terrible, I just wanted to check in and go to sleep for the few hours I had before I had to get back on the road. He continues his call, and yells for another person to come out, and she does. He tells her to check me in. She didn’t know how. She told him finally that that option was only at his computer. He looks at me again and says he’ll be with me shortly. He continued talking to a woman on his phone for another 3 minutes. By this time I’ve been standing at the desk for almost 10 minutes. It started off badly, so when I got to the room I couldn’t wait to be done. The room was clean and I have no complaints about that. The way he knew it was late and that I was visibly upset and continued with his personal call put me in such a bad mood. I come through Mishawaka almost weekly and usually stay somewhere, I’ll go back to the Holiday Inn Express right in front.
