Bra hotel med nydelig utsikt
Flott hotel med stort rom og god comfort. Kan trenge litt oppussing her og der, men ikke noe krise. Meget bra frokost med godt utvalg på terrassen med flott utsikt. Flott bassengområde på toppen med bar og god service. Et generelt bra hotell med Italia standard. Bodde 5 netter og det var kott vei til sentrum 8-10 minutters gange. Kan anbefales,

Excellent hotel in charming Sorrento!
Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in july 2010. We`d booked a room with balcony and seaview and really got what we`d paid for. The panaromic view was amazing, the room was pefect! Clean and big for our use and we really apreciated the extra room used as a wardrobe for clothes and suitcases. If you are staying for a while and would like to enjoy the afternoons on the balcony pay the extra for the view, no doubt! The hotel is located a 10 minutes walk from the center of Sorrento, but I would say it was a easy walk as we walked it a couple of times each day. It`s hard to walk with luggage, book a taxi from the station and back! The pool area is nice and calm with a snackbar. One of the guys working there was very outgoing and friendly. We did not have any trouble getting a sunbed when we wanted one. It was very hot during our stay, some days 40 degrees, so that may be the reason so many avoided the poolarea. We had dinner every night in town so I don`t know how the restaurant at the hotel. But breakfast was good (to be in i italy)! Sorrento is a perfect base to go on excursions and really romantic. It`s a city which is quite touristic so a week is enough. Visit Capri in the evening!! :) I would recommend Hotel Minerva to anyone! Nice and very helpful staff, a good experience for us!

This property has a beautiful location which is nearby to everything and has the best views. Gabriella and Antoinetta are most helpful and I appreciate their hospitality in making my stay the most comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel for everyone that comes to sorrento.

Beautiful property. Great views, we had a room with a balcony, where we sat and had wine on the evenings before dinner. Giuseppe Maitre D is a hoot and helpful, Teresa dining room server is fantastic and Antonio the bartender can hook you up with any libation. Town is a short walk 15 min. We ate at hotel twice for dinner and twice in town. Good breakfast as part of your room fee.

Very Unique Layout with beautiful views, walk into town is easy breezy, walk back is a bit of a chore. Complimentary breakfast is very very good. Pool overlooking ocean is very nice however weather was not on our side to enjoy a swim. Highly recommend staying here price is reasonable as well.

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Minerva. The property is beautiful and the views are stunning. We felt like we were staying at an all inclusive resort. The staff was so nice and helpful, especially the lead host during the breakfast service. The pool and lounge area were a highlight for us and a nice way to relax in the heat. For some reason when we arrived to check in our expedia reservation did not show up for them but they did not question us and provided up with a beautiful room with a large patio overlooking the ocean. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Sorrento but it was a nice walk down hill along the busy highway. Overall we had the best stay at Hotel Minerva and will recommend this hotel to others!

The hotel is beautiful and the views spectacular. Most of the staff were great, especially at the pool. It is about a 20 min walk to the town center. It’s hard to walk back up in the heat, and taxi’s will charge you a lot for a ride. Better off taking a bus.

Wonderful experience - like living in a postcode. Maître d’ Ninno is an incredible asset to the hotel, so friendly warm and professional. Hotel has so much character it was beautiful to see and experience.

We had a great holiday based at The Minerva. The hotel may be one of the older hotels in Sorrento but the standard of accommodation was excellent, topped off with an exceptional view over Sorrento, Naples Bay and Vesuvius. Best of all was the excellent service provided by the hotel staff, with everyone from the cleaners, waiters and reception staff happy to help with our attempts at basic Italian phrases. We can happily say our stay was Molte Bene. Grazie.

The hotel made us ever welcome from the beginning we had booked tours with another company but they still tried to see if they could get us collected from the hotel. If I was going again I book everything through the hotel. The staff were lovely to deal with

Breathtaking hotel
This hotel is an absolute dream. Friendly and helpful staff, great location, breathtaking views of the coast, spacious rooms and balconies, amazing food with a great selection and walking distance to the city centre. The pool area is also very spacious with lots of seating available.

The best hotel service around Sorrento. Great food as well. The view from my room was awesome. Great location close to everywhere. 5 min walking to the historic site and 6 min to the beach..

Very nice property with great views of the sea. Great breakfast and very courteous staff. We did, however, have a problem regarding parking. We rented a car and went straight from the airport to the hotel. Their valet parked it. When we retrieved it the next morning there was a dent on the front fender that wasn’t there before. When we said something to management they adamantly denied responsibility. Luckily for me they had security cameras on, and after I asked them to review the video we never heard another denial. Disappointing in an otherwise lovely stay.

The hotel offers a very nice view of the sea at a good price, at least relatively speaking. Included daily breakfast is good but needs more daily variety. Air conditioning was weak, and the thermostat in your room doesn’t really change anything, when I called them about it, they said they will set it at a lower temperature on their end!! I’ve never been to a hotel that you can’t choose you own desired temp!! And even after they changed it, it took several hours to get the temp of the room down. You get one room key card and it needs to be inserted into a slot inside the room for the AC to work. If you open the balcony door or leave the hotel with the key, AC stops automatically and then when you come back, you have to wait again for the weak AC to get the temp down. It was a significant inconvenience. Also you have to walk 10 minutes each way to get to the main Sorrento street where all restaurants and bars are. It’s not a bad hotel but the AC issue and location will make me hesitate to book here again.

An exquisite experience
A stunning hotel with breathtaking views of the coast, from every aspect of the hotel, the room, the restaurant and the pool. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the service from the waiters was top class. Nino was particularly passionate, charming and friendly as he talked though the menu and served us through our stay. The rooms are dated but for me this add to the charm of the hotel and the view from the balcony more than makes up for it.

We had a great 4 night stay at Hotel Minerva in Sorrento. It was perfectly located and with beautiful views from our room over Sorrento and Vesuvius. We chose to eat dinners at our hotel as food and service was really good and the terrace view was magnificent. Loved the rooftop pool area and bar. Good support to organise trips e.g. to Capri. Can definitively recommmemd this hotel and would love to go again.

Amazing hotel with an amazing view!
Everything about the Hotel Minerva was outstanding! We had a room on the 5th floor with a spectacular view. The daily included breakfast was very good. Eggs made to order and lots of choices, including gluten-free for me. We also had dinner there one night, and the food was excellent, made even better by the amazing view. staff was personable and attentive. The hotel is a 15 minute walk downhill to the city center. But of course that means uphill for the return, but not that bad, or taxis are readily available. My only suggestion for improvement would be a shuttle perhaps twice a day. The rooftop pool was an added plus, again with a wonderful view. We have been to Sorrento several times, but this was our first stay at the Hotel Minerva. When we return, we will return to the Minerva.

Great hotel with stunning sea view
Super nice hotel with a stunning view of the bay and Vesuv. Super food and terrace for drinks/dining had a small pool and there is a large pool on top floor with a lunch restaurant. Location is great a bit away from the crowded tourist center but still easy walking distance to downtown areas. Very nice staff. Parking was made by hotel staff as it was not on site but it worked perfect for us. All in all highly recommended and we would love to get back another time.

Great seaview hotel
Pros: 1. Absolutely brilliant view over Sorrento bay. The spectacular curvature of the shoreline unfolds in front of the hotel. Definitely, if you stay at the seaview rooms. 2. Balcony is a great addition to the seaview rooms, you can contemplate the landscape with a glass of a great wine 3. Bed was of a good quality, feeling rest after sleeping on it 4. Bathtub 5. Nice room design creates a pleasant atmosphere 6. Spacious room 7. Roof terrace restaurant with even better view and polite service staff with avaliable lunch and dinner 8. Descent breakfast 9.Rooftop pool 10. Free parking 11. Easy walking distace to the touristic areas of the city 12. Helpful staff 13. The hotel is not cheap, but stay there deserve every euro spent Cons: 1. No bathrobes and no slippers 2. Minibar almost empty, only a bottle of still and a bottle of sparkling water 3. Reception on the 5th floor and no official stopping near the hotel, so if you arrived on car, you should leave it on emergency stopping and start to look for check in 4. No coffee and tea packs in the room for quick preparation, although e-kettle is in there 5. Upper pool is backlocated on the rooftop, it would be great to move to the front creating a feeling of "infinite" pool over the seaview through transparent railing 6. Parking is free, but valley so you have request for the car half an hour prior takung off.

The restaurant staff and housekeeping staff were very kind and patient. We also appreciated the advice and service from the concierge. We were delighted with the cleanliness and the view from our room. The bed was comfortable and Hotel Minerva proved to be a wonderful place to rest and recharge as we explored the beautiful area in and around Sorrento.

Maravilloso hotel muy bien mantenido en lo alto de la montaña con vista privilegiada de la ciudad. Restaurante en el piso 5. La cena y el desayuno espectaculares. Pisicina en el piso 8 con jacuzzi. Tambien con vistas espectaculares. El personal muy amable y atento.

Service was amazing, hard working staff with 5 star service. Always friendly and nothing was impossible. Amazing pool on the roof and GREAT food! Our best stay so far in Italy. Amazing view.

Great view of the ocean from hotel and close enough to town that you can walk there, eat a lot and walk back to burn off some calories. Excellent service and nice breakfast.
