Secluded Woods and Lake Retreat

This cottage overlooks a 37 acre no wake lake that's parts of a chain of six lakes! The cottage sits up nice and high, providing a great view of the local fishing activities, eagles, otters, pike and large-mouth bass. This lake forms the head waters of the Flat river known for it's great trout fishing. The property also includes an acre of woods with fire pit, 2 Frisbee golf baskets, 8 putters, bean bag toss boards and bags, a swimming deck/paddle boat with ladder, and an aluminum boat with oars. But you can fish right off the end of the dock. I saw a huge pike down there one evening and it was pre-historic!
I provide great cooking equipment and an out door pizza oven shaped like a fish!
One of the other lakes is an all sport lake and you can put in there and ski or jet ski. But for me the quiet is worth not having all sports right out front, but yet readily available.


We call this cottage "Woody" and right next door I own a cottage called "Stony" which is a fabulous stone house with knotty pine interior. (762 Parkwood. 48886) Rent them both and have a quiet cottage and a more active cottage, meeting the needs of a variety of age groups.
Activities near by:
Gambling in Mt Pleasant, water park, dining and shopping, or preview Central Michigan University for future students of yours. Ferris State is in Big Rapids which is also nearby. There are many Amish stores nearby and a cheese factory. Many well regarded golfing courses within 30 miles. Great bar food in Lake View and Turk lake and others to be discovered.
