Fantastisk service fra resepsjon. Frokost og kaffe var ikke noe særlig, og litt vedlikehold på rom trengtes. Alt i alt hadde vi et greit opphold.

Med utsikt over Gardasjøen
Hotel Smeraldo har felles resepsjon med Hotel La Paul som ligger tvers over gaten.Enkelt og greit hotell som ligger helt ned til vannet. God parkeringsplass med port. Hotellet ligger i gangavstand til gamlebyen i Sirmione med gangvei på hele strekningen. Gratis, men noe svakt internett.

Greit sentralt hotell
Vi sleit litt med å komme inn på hotellet da resepsjonen var på nabohoellet. Eneste skiltet som var er stod på Italiensk. Rommet var helt greit med kunne vært gjort noe med det. Var litt kjedelig. Døren til terassen bråket når store biler kjørte forbi. Dårlig uteområdet med basseng som ikke ble rengjort. Frokosr ok, ikke noe mer en det. Grei plass for et par netter da det er veldig nærme sentrum.

se prenota una tripla e poi arrivate in quattro sicuramente c'è da pagare qualche cosa e non è sicuro che ci sia posto per la quarta persona (a ferragosto) e non è colpa dell'hotel!

Albergo tranquillo affacciato sul lago
Struttura tranquilla, a poche decine di minuti dal centro di Sirmione raggiungibile con una facile passeggiata, ben tenuta, colazione ricca e variata. buona pulizia.La Reception, in diverse fasce orarie non è presidiata per cui occorre rivolgersi ad un altro hotel situatao di fronte, non è comodo.

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, die Zimmer waren groß, das Bad ebenfalls. Das Frühstücksbuffet war hervorragend. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir waren einmal im Partnerhotel beim Abendessen. Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut, nur das Salatbuffet nicht sehr üppig. Der 'Pool war nur ein Kinderpool, knietief und der Zugang zum See quasi nicht vorhanden. Hier kann man jedoch beides im Partnerhotel auf der anderen Straßenseite nutzen und ist somit nicht als negativ zu werten. Ich würde das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen und auch wieder buchen

The lake view is stunning and it is so peaceful to sit right next to the water! The hotel staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The hotel is a ten minute walk from the old town, which was a huge upside to our stay. The hotel would benefit from a bar with a coffee machine for the evenings- however, La Paul, the hotel adjoined to this one, does have this.

Bra läge, ok pris, helt ok frukost
Det har ett helt ok hotell. Inte fantastiskt, inte ofräscht. Precis... lagom. Sen är ju läget som det är vilket gör att priserna trissas upp. Plus för frukosten.

Empfang leider Katastrophe. Kaum besetz , die Damen arrogant und keine Hilfe, Informationen und Antworten auf Fragen. Frühstück jedoch gut und das Personal sehr nett. Zimmer sehr sauber aber im Bad leider keine Ablagemöglichkeit

Lots of ants without food or drinks at our room
Lots of ants, do not leave food or drinks in your room, lots of dust, old furnitures, For famililys with small children, you can not move the bed to the wall because the night stands are attached to the wall, good breakfast and frienldy straff. But we will never stay at the hotell again.

Posizione molto comoda a due passi dal centro. molto bene per il parcheggio compreso perchè in Sirmione i prezzi dei parcheggio pubblici sono assurdi. la colazione molto buona, tutto fresco. il personale gentile e disponibile. noi abbiamo soggiornato nel hotel smeraldo e dopo aver fatto il check in all'hotel la paul, abbiamo raggiunto l'hotel ma abbiamo trovato la reception deserta, non c'era nessun ad accoglierci. peccato per questo, inoltre non è molto sicuro. per il resto tutto bene. camera spaziosa, pulita e accogliente. consigliato per un soggiorno breve.

Fantastic hotel, at well below market price
One of the best hotels we've stayed in recently - Ambra on reception was fantastically helpful, and everything worked wonderfully - great breakfast, cracking location, we loved being able to use their bikes, and the sunset from our balcony on night one was stunning. Would happily return to this hotel in the future : )

Wir wurden allerdings nicht im Hotel Smeraldo untergebracht sondern im Hotel Paül. Es liegt gegenüber. Es wurde uns zwar mitgeteilt, dass wir im Hotel Paül einchecken müssen, aber leider keine Adresse. Aber das Hotel ist sehr schön.

Nice hotel, right on the lake
Nice hotel friendly staff, Great Lake views, comfy room and beds, just make sure you get two room keys, so you can leave one in all the time so air con and fridge stay on, only gripe I had was that the coffee was not always replaced, so didn't have a cup overlooking the gorgeous lake in the morning, but great holiday had.

Ameisenplage und kaputte Betten
Unser Aufenthalt war leider nicht so schön, wir hatten Ameisen im Zimmer und nach dem Zimmerwechsel auch noch kaputte Betten. Entenkot inklusive Enten im Pool, so dass der nicht zu benutzen war. Zum Glück waren wir nir eine Nacht da.

An excellent stay in a Romantic Lakeside Hotel
First of all, ignore all the negative reviews about the hotel staff and service in past reviews. If Hotel Smeraldo or Hotel La Paul had any issues in the past, I experienced NONE of them during our stay there. I booked the hotel because of the competitive price it offered for an amazing location right beside Lake Garda and I ended up getting twice what I expected in terms of quality and service. We stayed here for four days and had nothing but good experiences. Our room was at the bottom floor that had a small shaded terrace leading out towards the lake. If you want relaxing views while drinking coffee in the morning or wine during the evenings, request first floor lakeside rooms. The hotel is actually an extension of Hotel La Paul so you'll get to experience 2 hotels, 2 restaurants, 2 pools, and 2 beaches that are staffed by friendly and helpful hotel employees 24/7. Whenever we had an issue with our room, it was immediately fixed after we informed the front desk (Thanks again to Ambra, one of the most pleasant receptionists we've met!). Restaurants that serve good Italian food and Gelatto stores are also plentiful in the old town although the food at the hotel is great as well (they had one of best Risottos I've had in Italy). Barbara, the restaurant manager at Hotel Le Paul, will ensure pleasant dinners for you, your significant other, and the rest of your family. Overall, a stay in this hotel is a MUST for travelers who are looking for good value for their vacation money.

Flot restaurerer hotel, fine værelser. Dog var det svært at komme ind, da der ikke var morgen i receptionen , og ingen skilte om at man skulle henvende sig på et andet hotel længere ned af vejen. Poolen var 15 cm dyb.Og ingen badebro så man kunne bade i søen.

Hotel che non risponde a quando pubblicato. Manca ristorante La sala viene usata solo x colazione La piscina è solo una bagnarola di 4/5 metri di diametro profonda mezzo metro Il parcheggio è solo per 12 auto Manca la portineria.. Meno male che cercano di sopperire con i servizi dell'hotel di fronte. Sempre loro immagino

OK, på lagom avstånd från centrum.
Hård säng, bra frukost,, gratis parkering, balkong mot gatan, bra badrum, men cirka 70 (sjuttio ) stökiga ungdomar i 14 - 15-årsåldern förde ett visst oväsen kvällstid. Spring i korridorer, smällande i dörrar, skrik o. s. v.

If the price is right give it a go.
The hotel looked closed at first and I couldn't find my way in as all doors require access cards. I could see the reception but no one was there. In the end it became clear, check in across the road at sister hotel. (Stand with Smereldo behind you at the main road and look across the road to the left, it is there). Check in was simple, car park at front with push button gate. Very few people were seen in the hotel (good/bad). We were on the second floor looking out to the lake, it was a nice view no means fantastic but a few drinks on it went well.The room itself was fine, in my opinion a little oldy worldy but thats ok. We didn't use the pool so can't comment. We did however get a night where we had a ceiling full of insects, we spent 20mins 'removing' them. We did have the door open for a few hours and were not aware of insect issues prior- keep door closed at night is my advice. Would I stay again - yes, but I would consider other locations as I think there is better. We did get it at a good price though.

Hotellet grænser direkte til Gardasøen, og fra de fleste værelser er der en formidabel udsigt over søen og bjergene i horisonten. Hotellet ligger i fin gåafstand til den antikke by. Værelset var dejligt - blot savnede vi et lille køleskab. Hotellets rengøring og øvrige personale kan kun roses. Hotellet er i forhold til pris og kvalitet meget at anbefale.

Arrived the hotel at ten am in the morning , could not get it to the hotel. No sign in English to tell us that we would have to check in at hotel la paul across the road. Luckily the lady looking after the breakfast room told us. We felt that we were left on our own , anything needed we would have to walk across the road to hotel La Paul reception to place the request as NO staff in hotel Smeraldo. As advertised, the hotel Smeraldo did have a swimming pool (paddling pool) the main pool was across the road at hotel La Paul.The pictures shown on the website of the outside grounds are not true to form. I find that hotel Smeraldo and hotel La Paul are two different hotels or are they one hotel ?? if they are one should there not be the same treatment given as La Paul ( breakfast) We felt we spent a lot on this holiday and we were in budget accommodation.

Schönes Hotel in die Nähe vom Altstadt.
Wir waren mit 2x andere Paaren da. Zimmer waren sauber und die Betten bequem. Service war sehr gut. Klima anlage war laut, Dusche hatte kein Vorhang oder Kabine, Frühstück war a bisserl Mager. Trotz allem kann ich es weiter empfehlen.

Good basic accommodation for visiting Sirmione
You check in at the sister hotel St Paul over the road. The visitor may also have use of this hotels facilities as well as Smeraldo. All staff speak English.

Hotel an der Hauptstrasse zum Stadtzentrum
Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer gebucht. Zur Verfügung gestellt wurden erfreulicherweise zwei Zimmer mit Bad. Vor jedem Zimmer gab es einen kleinen Balkon. Die Zimmer an sich sind sehr dunkel, zum einen da vor den Zimmern eine riesige Tanne steht und zum anderen, weil die Zimmer in dunkelbraun und dunkelrot gehalten sind (auch die Wand ist dunkelbraun gestrichen). Das Frühstück konnten wir im Haus in einem Frühstücksraum einnehmen. Wir waren von dem schlechten Frühstück etwas überrascht, da wir in anderen Hotels am Gardasee besseres gewohnt sind (wohlgemerkt günstigere Hotels!). Das Abendessen war geschmacklich in Ordnung, wobei sich bei nur einer Woche Aufenthalt die Speisen jeweils sehr ähnelten - die Abwechslung fehlte - trotz Auswahl zwischen 4 Gerichten (Seefisch/Schweineschnitzel/Kaninchen/Truthahn). Salat gab es gar keinen, Gemüse nur als kleine Beilage - wenn überhaupt. Die Servicekräfte im Speisesaal waren sehr nett!

The hotel lived up to our expectations. It was clean and the rooms were spacious. The staff were polite and always helpfull with a good knowlegde of english.The hotel was nicely situated on Sirmone with just a small walk to many nice restarants. Parking was free. Sirmionemake a good base for day trips to Bergamo, Verona & other place around Lake Garda.

Great location in Sirmione
We started our 2 week vacation in Italy in this hotel from the 50´s. Rooms are small, but I liked the atmosphere of this old hotel which was mostly full of guests from Italy. Probably I wouldn´t have liked this hotel so much if we would not have had the room with the lake view. Location of the hotel is great because the hotel is about 400 meters from the old town gates.
