We just returned from a week over spring break with the kids, and this home fit our family perfectly. The size impressed us, plenty of space to spread out and actually feel like you're on vacation. The owner was easy to communicate with when we had a question or two.The ocean view is absolutely stunning. We kept finding ourselves stopping to watch passing ships, and one afternoon we even spotted a pod of humpback whales swimming by. The covered porch became our daily hangout, a perfect shady retreat from the afternoon sun or a passing tropical shower, especially when we weren't in the pool. The pool table was a fun bonus for winding down evenings after cooking dinner. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics and sharp knives included, which is a plus, and it handled our daily cooking needs well. A run to the market for fresh bread, cheese, and wine became a beloved routine. But the real star was the pool. It's massive — larger than some hotel pools — and it was all ours, aside from the occasional iguana, monkey, or cat stopping by. Our family spent hours in it every day. Highlight of the trip, hands down.Practical notes: rent a car — it's a must for beaches, shops, and groceries. But plan extra time for every outing. The island has seen significant overdevelopment and traffic is no joke. Budget extra time whenever you leave the property.Overall, this place delivered what we were looking for: space, comfort, and a beautiful ocean view.
