The Real Feel of Shimla

Great hotel with a large room, dressing room and big bathroom. Could walk outside the room onto the lawn where we had a view of the town below and the mountains above.

Charming old hotel

It is always interesting to stay in a hotel with a bit of history and this place didn't disappoint. The room was huge with a nice view and plenty of original features from its life as a colonial mansion. Excellent breakfast and good service. It was very clean, though a bit of paint here and there wouldn't go amiss.

Make sure you get the right room

Hotel is perfectly far from the main town which is over crowded and clogged with cars. Most of the rooms have a nice view and also have balconies. Unfortunately the room we got was the smallest room in the hotel and also had no view at all. Tariff for all rooms is the same. So please call and find out what they are offering you.

Nice property with breathtaking scienic view.

We enjoyed stay. A little improvement is needed in managing the operations like breakfast spread & menu for dinner. There is need to improve ambience at enterance as passage is rough.These are a few suggestions otherwise staff attitude is exceellent particularly Parkash. I missed Mr. Pankaj Gera as there was demise in his family.

A good hotel in a heritage building.

Nice comfortable n peaceful stay. Spacious rooms neatly decorated. No steep stairs like in other hotels. Good food. Staff very helpful n courteous. Would prefer to stay there whenever visit again in future.

Pretty nice rooms with friendly staff. Awesome food and other services. A thank you note to the owners for taking care of my sick 6 months old daughter.

Very large rooms with excellent scenic views

Very nice, cosy and homely hotel with very large rooms and good service. I had booked 2 rooms for 5 of us including my mother. Wonderful stay. Acknowledge the additional support by the Manager of the Hotel who arranged the taxi service to Manali and then to Chandigarh.

Hotelstaff was great but...

Very friendly staff that did their very best to help us with everything. Unfortunately I think that the hotel needs an overall renovation and the price we payed was too high for the present standard. After a night with rain we found our suitcases wet from a leak. Too bad one can not enjoy the garden with beautiful view due to nasty monkeys!

Something a bit different from your average hotel!

I really loved this hotel because it's just a little different - the inside feels a little like being in a stately home rather than an actual hotel. In terms of service it was excellent, we were well looked after - you can have drinks brought to your room on request and they can easily organise taxis, drivers, etc. I will say that the rooms were a little cold at night. There was no problem with the bedding, but the heaters provided for the rooms are not great and take a long time to warm the room- this can be negated by requesting a fire (it seems most rooms have a fireplace) for a small extra cost. All in all I would say this was a really great place to stay and definitely a bit of a special experience compared with a normal hotel.

Most memorable experience. Every thing like food, hospitality and large rooms made our 2 N stay luxurious, a little up keep inside toilets would make it great. Good travel arrangement by Manager Mr Pankaj Gera from Shimla to Manali and Chandigarh with good Innova cabs & excellent drivers with prompt service made our journey hassle free. want to visit Shimla & stay at Heritage Hotel Springfields, if possible. Rajanna, Bangalore

מלון מורשת, מאד "אנגלי". המיקום נוח.

בתחילה נכנסנו לחדר הגדול בקומה הראשונה אבל הריח בו היה בלתי נסבל!! העובש מהאמבטיה דבק בווילונות וברהיטים ובקושי נרדמנו. החדר הגדול לא מומלץ!! לאחר שפנינו לצוות, הוחלף החדר ללילה השני לחדר יותר קטן אבל בלי ריחות !! מאד נהנינו מהחדר , מהנוף ומהאדיבות של בעלת המלון והצוות!

Good hotel, but not a 4-star

Nice property with some character. The building is nice. The service is responsive but not proactive. I think it is good value, but I don't see it as a 4-star hotel at all. More like a decent 3-star with a good location. Breakfast quality was not up to my expectations.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME - COMFORTABLE STAY

Simla is a place which always fascinates me and quite often I am visiting this place. When I was unmarried I used to come here with my father and used to stay in a house of a relative near Lower Bazar. But during my youth I completed my postgraduation from HP University and during this period I used to visit Simla and stay at Hotel Bridgeview, Hotel Honey Moon Inn, Hotel Sun & Snow and various other hotels. But this time I was determined to stay in a hotel which is located at a quite and calm place. After searching comprehensively in the net I chose to stay in Hotel Springsfield. This time I was visiting Simla to celebrate my 28th Marriage Anniversary. It was truely a very pleasant surprise when I check in to find a very spacious room located at the first floor with all the basic amenities. What impressed me the most was the courteous staff and the recreation facilities available in the hotel be it the visitors lounge or the indoor games facilities. It was a real delight to visit the restaurant in the hotel. I must confessed that during my stay in the hotel, I had never eaten outside. Anything I desired was made available to me. The finest thing in their service was their house keeping. Bathroom was very neat and clean. Tea maker provided in the room was a great boon as I and my wife are both fond of having tea several times in a day. In totality , I enjoyed my stay in the hotel and very shortly I am going to gift a holiday package of this hotel to my son and daughter, who are recently married.
