Secluded group of cottages close to town

  • Moose Lodge is one cottage in the Bear Necessities Cottages. These cottages are a group ranging in size and price. Five of the six cottages have kitchens and private baths. We have one dry cabin that has a shared bath house that also contains a coin laundry. We welcome children and pets and love to help with your planning! Located just minutes from town you are close enough to all the action without feeling like you are in the action. Hiking, fishing, boat tours and much more are minutes away. Owners live on site and are ready to welcome you to Seward!

Group of 5 spent one evening. It was close to Seward, which was a plus. We had an early marine tour in the morning. I would definitely stay again when in Alaska.

It was perfect for us. Close to town which was important. Very quiet. Clean and had everything we needed. Great value for the price.

Location was nice and secluded. Quiet. Clean bedding. There was a musty mold smell that wasn’t very pleasant, the silverware drawer was mildewy and fell apart when we opened it. But overall this was a decent stay for the price and location. Just need to figure out the mildew and moisture issue.

Cozy Seward Getaway

Cute clean cabin tucked away in Seward! Perfect getaway for the day and night! The Host was excellent- answered all our questions and was very hospitable!

Great location - easy access to every place we went. Beds are extremely comfortable and the living area space is very functional/usable. The only downside was the very short amount of time the hot/warm water in the shower lasts. Overall, this is a great place! Would stay here again.

We have everything we needed for a mom with 4 kids and a dog. Everything was clean and comfortable.

It’s not the hosts fault, but someone cleaned fish in the cabin and it was fairly unpleasant. The host offered to put in an ionizer but then couldn’t find one and theirs was still on its way in the mail. As long as the party before you is polite and doesn’t clean fish inside the cabin… it was clean, the beds weren’t bad, you have running water (it’s a bit chilly, but at least you can shower). It’s close to Seward, but far enough away from the cruise crowds if you like peace and quiet. Check in was incredibly simple and easy. Host will message you back almost immediately.

Great little cabin

If you want to camp in a cabin in Alaska, this is your place! Owner’s are on site and very helpful. You can make a fire in the fire pit and soak up nature. Cabin is small and the pans could use updating but overall a great little place to spend a night (or more). :-)

Nice, quiet place to stay

Didn't have heat on and pretty cool overnight. Upon arrival, manager gave great tips on what to do and where to eat. Appreciated being in the country, but not secluded, while staying here. Overall experience was good.

Great location, property was worn

Great layout and location, however the hot water for the shower was unreliable and the oven would not light. There was also an odor in the home.
