We were very disappointed with our stay. From the moment we arrived, we had issues. We initially had trouble even getting into the cabin and were also locked out of the pool area. That night there was a loud party at the neighboring cabin that continued late into the night, making it impossible for our family to sleep. I contacted the host around midnight about the noise but did not receive a response for approximately 12 hours. By that time, the damage had already been done and our night had been ruined. The cabin was also not clean. There was blood on a bathroom wall, the bedding had hair and lint on it, the floors and sink were dirty, and the entire cabin was dusty. “Clean” towels were placed directly on the commode, which was disgusting. Area rugs had been taped down and were coming up, creating a trip hazard. There were also still Christmas decorations up well after the holiday season. Another thing that should be clearly stated is that the cabins are located extremely close together in a developing community. You can see directly onto your neighbors’ back porches and they can see yours, leaving little to no privacy, especially where the hot tub is located. Due to the lack of sleep and lack of communication from the host, we decided to leave. After we left, the host went back and forth with me all day and eventually offered a free one-night stay during their off-peak season in exchange for the three-day weekend we paid for. Why would I come back to a place I left? Crazy!
