"Central, comfortable and well run, with a few small frictions I stayed at Barceló Budapest at the end of a trip and left satisfied. The location is excellent. You are right in the middle of everything, with shopping, restaurants and transport immediately outside the door, which makes it very easy to fill a day without planning much in advance. The room was a very good size and the bed was genuinely one of the more comfortable I have slept in. The hotel is clean and well presented throughout, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Breakfast was solid. The food selection is a little sparse, but everything you actually need is there and it tasted good. The drinks selection in particular was very generous. I had also booked half board, and the dinner buffet was the weaker part of the stay: the chicken was very good, the rest was unremarkable. A few smaller points worth knowing. Early check-in costs 20 euros. If the room is already empty I think that should simply be free, and while I understand the commercial thinking behind it, it does leave a slightly sour note at the start of a stay. The in-room coffee is instant. Fine as a fallback, but not much more than that. The wifi itself was good, but the network name and password printed on the key card holders were out of date, so it took some back and forth to get online. An easy fix, and worth doing. Last small thing: the bathroom floor was cold in the mornings. No underfloor heating, which I did not really ex"

"Hotellet har en meget bra beliggenhet nært restauranter og markedshallen i Budapest. Vi ble tatt i mot av svært hyggelig personale. Rommet var i god stand med velfungerende aircondition. Frokosten var svært bra med egg, bacon, pølser, frukt, brød, yoghurt og kaker. Vi kunne presse vår egen appelsinjuice på en maskin, det var veldig godt. Hit vil vi dra igjen 😀"
