"Everything at the hotel was perfect"

"We had a lovely stay at this quiet and peaceful place. Our room was cleaned twice, and the staff even left cute notes on the bed made from bamboo sticks — such a sweet touch! The restaurant served great dinners, and the Lombok curry was the best dish we had in all of Indonesia. The dessert was below average, but everything else was wonderful. The open shower design can attract a few insects, but room service responded quickly and solved the issue. Everyone was super kind and friendly. The beach was clean and beautiful, and breakfast was made fresh to our taste — we especially loved the spicy options! The complimentary 15-minute massage was a lovely surprise, and the massage therapist was excellent — truly one of the best we’ve had and worth every penny!"

"Hadde et fantastisk opphold på hotellet på vår bryllupsreise. For det første var hotellet i svært god stand. Det var alltid rent, sengen og maten var veldig god, og det føltes generelt luksuriøst. Servicen på hotellet var helt særegen. De ansatte gjorde mye ekstra og var utrolig imøtekommende. En hyllest til ansatte i restauranten som tok godt vare på mannen min da han ble syk, og hadde samtaler med meg da jeg satt i restauranten alene. Og til Wulana for å stille opp uansett hva jeg trengte. Vi håper på å komme tilbake!"

"Merumatta is a former flagship resort at Senggigi, and the pool villa club was built 2000. It is very well maintained, and the service is superb. Positioned on the Senggigi beach, it is a great place for relaxing and sunbathing. It is also a great start point for tours to the gilis in north or south, as well as to the Rinjani mountain. The villa and its surroundings are clean. The villa is spacious and well maintained. The personell is attentive and ever-present when needed. One day our jacuzzi stopped working. 5 minutes after we told the receiption, a guy was on-site to repair it. At the same time, it must be mentioned that the facilities are a little worn down. A renewal would be appreciated. All in all, we had a great time and would absolutely recommend the Merumatta Pool Villa. "

"Excellent hotel for our short stay in Senggigi. The staff was really friendly, the rooms super clean, and the pool was nice. Its not the best beach in Lombok (those are in the south), but the hotel did a great job in keeping it as clean as possible. The food was excellent! Would highly recommend this."

"Had high expectations when booking this expensive hotel with private pool for our 3 day stay in Senggigi. But I made a mistake when checking the past reviews, as it seems that most of the good reviews are from 10 years ago. Its clear that this hotel is very close to requiring a full renovation. The room was not very clean. The worst was the big bathtub, which was very dirty. There was also no full size shower anywhere. You have to sit down in the tub to wash yourself. The private pool itself was very cold and too deep for anyone under 1.8m. All evening and night we were fighting mosquitos. The amount of mosquitos made us not use the private pool much. But the absolute worst was the food. We ordered room service a few times, and it just kept getting worse. The rice seem to be re-heated leftover rice from last week, the pizza was a tasteless sloppy mess, and all the dishes containing chicken were rubbery and inedible. This was the final straw, and we checked out early and stayed at a resort hotel around the corner. What a waste of 400 usd this was. This hotel should close for a full renovation & fire the kitchen staff."

"Fantastisk opphold på ett nydelig hotell. Betjeningen var veldig hjelpsomme og vennlige. Å hotellet var veldig fint. Nydelig beliggenhet med magisk utsikt over havet. Vil virkelig anbefale ett opphold her til alle som reiser til Lombok. Veldig god frokost og maten i restauranten og Beach baren var også god. Godt utvalg av ulike retter "
