Welcome to the Great Escape! Located in Uptown Sedona with great red rock views and awesome outdoor space. After hiking all day, soak up Snoopy Rock views on the covered patios and expansive outdoor deck - perfect for soaking up the serene red rock views and stargazing Sedona’s famous dark skies and Milky Way galaxy of stars.

This mid-century-inspired home is on a big woodsy lot with mature trees, beautiful manzanitas, and other native plants. You’ll most likely see Quail, Deer, and Javelina stroll through the neighborhood. There are plenty of hiking trails nearby and you can easily get to great restaurants, shops & bars. Get the best of both worlds when you book The Great Escape. Great for family vacations, weekend getaways, yoga retreats, and honeymooners.   

The Great Escape is immaculately renovated with contemporary modern designer interiors throughout. Unwind in style and comfort in the living area. With a beautiful electric fireplace to relax while catching up on classic movies and recap your day's adventures with friends and family. The adjoining open kitchen/dining area is perfect for home entertainment. The kitchen is stylish and includes modern amenities including a coffee/bar station complete with a wine refrigerator. The dining table seats 6 with additional seating for 2 at the kitchen bar counter. Sliding doors open from the dining room to the peaceful fully fenced backyard where you can BBQ and dine al fresco.   

The warm contemporary touches flow through to the 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom is spacious with a king-size bed, a seating area with a sleeper sofa, and a laptop-friendly workspace. A quiet space ideal for remote working and home-schooling. Step outside with your cup of coffee to soak up the spectacular Sedona views. The en-suite bathroom has double vanities and a walk-in shower. Bedroom 2 has two twin beds and Bedroom 3 has a king-size bed, sharing a bathroom. There is also a Pack N' Play for the little ones.

But my favorite parts of Sedona are the little known secret places, that you can explore and experience without the crowds. This gem is one of those secret locations. Sedona almost never gets snow, and when it does snow, it rarely sticks. So when a giant snow storm shut down the whole city last winter, we were dying to go out and get some epic snow pictures! Locals refer to this spot as the Birthing Cave. It is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy parts of the city. It is a fairly easy hike to get here, but getting up into the cave is a whole other story! It requires a lot of scrambling, and some serious guts! Peterson Getaway

Some of us came from Las Vegas and some from Montana. We had other family just up the road from Texas and Kentucky. The location of both was perfect. This house and its hosts are the perfect place to stay in Sedona. Close to all attractions, walking distance to town. Not only was the home spotless and stocked with more than most it was also designed and decorated beautifully. Thank you! We plan to be back!!

Relaxing stay

This property was special. The views were magnificent from multiple outdoor seating arrangements. We were so close to the village and all of its restaurants and shops. Location location location!

My husband and I absolutely loved staying at this property. The cleanliness and amenities were top notch. The best part, however, was the location! 10-20 minutes from most of our hikes and walkable to so many restaurants and shops! We will absolutely be looking to stay again for our next trip to Sedona!

Stellar in every way

What a lovely way to celebrate my 65th birthday at the Great Escape! The views are amazing; the house is well appointed; and best of all the neighborhood is quiet, lovely, and within walking distance to some amazing restaurants (Elote, the Vault uptown, and Sedona Shorebird were our picks this time). Plus, the house has an electric charger for those of us with hybrid/electric cars. We definitely want to come back sometime soon!

This was a very nice VRBO property. It was in town, (Sedona) but away from the bustle & traffic noise. Everything was very nice. The only negative might be the waste of water when warming up the water to take a shower. I am very big into conserving water in the west so the water wastage made me feel guilty!!

Cozy house with easy access to everything in Sedona. The kitchen was one of the best-appointed we’ve ever had in a rental… high quality everything which is rare. EV charger was an unexpected plus. Great rental - worth the higher price.

Perfection

We enjoyed a long weekend at The Great Escape and it couldn't have been better! We traveled with our two young-adult children and the house accommodated our need for separate space/bedrooms and wonderful shared spaces inside and out. The house is tucked away with a short, lovely walk through a beautiful neighborhood to morning coffee, shopping, trailheads and great food options. We were surrounded by breathtaking views at every angle. The night sky treated us to views of the Milky Way and shooting stars. Inside, everything was new. Gorgeous decor, fully-appointed clean kitchen and bathrooms. Very comfortable beds. We just loved it. It was totally relaxing and we felt like everything was prepared for our arrival and ease. Highly recommend!

Lots of space with amazing viewss

First off properly mgmt was great! The morning that we were to checkin we received a call that the AC was broken and not to worry as they were working on sending us new properties to choose from. Within minutes of the call I got 5 new listings all of which were equal or better than what we originally booked. We chose this property and was not disappointed. It is very spacious, clean and the views out every window for amazing. Would definitely stay there again!

Family vacation of a lifetime

Highly recommend this property to everyone. We travelled with my two young children and elderly parents and this house and location were perfect. Everything was clean and orderly and there was plenty of space. A few minutes walk down the road and you were right in uptown Sedona with all the shops and restaurants. And at the end of the road were spectacular hiking trails. We spent so much time on the private deck enjoying the stunning views and the wildlife; we saw deer, coyote, and a javelina all from the house! Everything was wonderful.
