Summer Winds 528 | Partial View from Balcony, Pool

Summer Winds 528 is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo with partial views of the ocean from the L-shaped corner balcony. This condo is located in the Summer Winds Building, just one building back from the beach, at the Beachside Colony Resort condominium complex. Enjoy two community pools, direct beach access, and an on-site restaurant "The Deck" featuring unique coastal cuisine. The condo is located right across the street from Memorial Park which has a wonderful playground, volleyball courts, basketball courts, tennis courts, the YMCA, and the Library. This great mid-island location is within a short walk of several popular restaurants. This condo is nicely furnished and has all you need to feel right at home. The living area has comfortable seating, an HD TV, and access to the covered balcony. The dining table seats 5 with 4 additional stools at the breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a washer and dryer for guest use. Enjoy comfortable beds that accommodate traveling couples or a small family nicely. The primary Bedroom is furnished with a King size bed and a TV and has access to the balcony with ocean views. The ensuite bathroom has a double vanity and a whirlpool tub. The second bedroom has a full size bed and Bedroom 3 is furnished with two sets of twin bunks to accommodate up to 4 guests. Each guest bedroom has a TV and share a guest bathroom with a tub and shower combination.

This condo has Wireless Internet for guest use. There`s a covered carport with parking for 2 cars, end to end. As a guest enhancement, the covered parking area comes equipped to handle an electric car (Tesla style) plug-in. Beachside Colony has just completed an all-new expansion of the pool and patio area. Enjoy 2 brand new pools, one with a beach entry tanning ledge, all-new restrooms, and lots of space for guests to enjoy soaking in the sunshine on beautiful Tybee Island! Beachside Colony offers pool heat between the months of October-March. Pool heat is available in one pool only and is heated based on weather and mechanics and is not a guaranteed amenity. Family beach get away.

Proximity to the ocean and pools and onsite restaurant was great especially with children. Upon arrival we were given the wrong address and coordinates and there was no clear sign from the road of the Summer winds so we had to call and drive around a little bit until we found the condo which was a little stressful with two small children. The bed in the guest room was very high but they did leave one step stool. The guest bathroom seemed to have a water leak around the toilet.

Great location

This property was in a great location, right next to the beach. There was a nice restaurant on site, nice pool as well but it was very warm, a little to warm for how hot it was outside. The condo was clean and big. A few stains on the couches but other wise nice. The beds were comfortable. The parking was a little tight for us only because we have a large truck and it was a covered spot, so not to self if you have a larger truck you fit but it’s tighter.

There was no explanation that you access the condo through stairs. I couldn’t find the door to the condo for an hour. Please put in use stairs up 2 fights.

Not as pics shows it

Was not as clean as we expected. Felt like pics gave a wrong prespwxitive of actual place. Bunk bed ladders not sturdy at all, second bedroom with queen bed was really a double bed and so tiny. Just dirty walls, electrical boxes falling out, bathrooms not cleaned well and in master bedroom bathtub not clean. Location was great, nice pools and short walk to the beach. Overall was disappointed in the room compared to what pics shown us, but it was still a good time. 6/10

Great beach stay!

Excellent location! The only drawback is the the knives: we like to cook & the knives at the property were very flimsy, to the point that they felt dangerous to chop with. It gave the feeling of cutting some corners, but overall the place is just short of perfect.

Beach trip 2023

Nice property. Needs some updates. The master tub: stopper and drain, the jets need a good scrubbing. The toilet need a new flushers it runs and just didn’t want to flush. Master bedroom: great bed. Really need plugs by the bed. My husband and I both sleep with CPAP machines. But a good amount of space. Living room is a good size but could use one more piece like a chair or loveseat. Kitchen was great. The hallway bathroom was good especially with the pocket door to the 3rd room. 3rd room was huge plenty of space for the kids and I personally think that’s the best bedroom. 2nd bedroom: space is tight. But bed was excellent. Balcony was great. Parking was just right for 2 suv. Pool was great. Having The Deck restaurant on spot was good. Overall a great place to stay just needs some touch ups.

It was a nice place but some things were a little dirty. The dishes were put away dirty in the cabinet and I had to take them all out and wash them before I could even cook. Not Ideal to start off vacation. All in all though it was a nice property.

Great spot on quiet side of the Island

This rental was updated and super clean. The host was very communicative going out of their way to reach out to ensure we had everything we needed on our first full day. The property felt safe and it was really nice to be right there with the pool and “The Deck” beachfront restaurant. It was within walking distance to a few great spots including the Salt table, ice cream parlor and surf shop across the street. The beds were comfortable and the wrap around porch was an added bonus with beautiful breeze!!

Good beach

Excellent ent Beach for young kids. Surf was gentle most of the time were there. The pool was under renovation. The Deck restaurant right next door was excellent but other restaurants on the Island not so much. You have to go into town which can take awhile and you better have reservations!

Perfect location!

The location was phenomenal. The condo had everything we needed to be comfortable. The view was beautiful and will be even nicer when the pool area is finished. The decor was tasteful beach vibes. The only thing is that it had some safety concerns with a toddler such as no lock on the balcony, exposed TV wires and no chain on the front door.

Nice place

This was a very easy place to stay. Beach was close, room was clean. Pools were very crowded and the lounge chair cushions had a bad smell to them.

Close to beach and decent accommodations

We stayed in this 3 bedroom condo with 4 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 kids. It was fairly small for that many people and the listing states there are 2 queen beds but there is actually 1 queen and 1 double. It is close to the beach and the pool has a fun poolside bar but we heard a lot of traffic including very loud trash trucks right outside of our windows early on Saturday morning. The place is clean enough but everything is very basic. There are a few paper products and cleaning supplies to get you started but you will need to buy/bring most of those items. It met our needs but we expected a little more for the price.
