I am sorry for your disappointment. As seen in previous reviews, the pictures are accurate to reality. The minor issues mentioned were taken care of immediately by our property manager. The pool had a major maintenance done last month, after the rainy season ended.

We are sorry that you and your young friends did not enjoy being in a house located on a secluded beach, surrounded by nature, on a tropical island. We did not agree to the offer you made to the property manager at the beginning of your stay, of a refund to avoid a bad review, since your claims were unjustified. Please note the following facts: 1. INSECTS: The bugs mentioned are harmless flying ants, which appear during or after rain because these insects are very sensitive to changes in their environment and are attracted by light sources. At check in, the property manager advises all guests to close the windows at night and turn on air conditioning units in the house. This recommendation was not followed by the guests. In Aruba all hotels, houses and condos have these insects during the rainy season. As stated by the guest, the reason to leave the property is because one of the guests has an insect phobia. 2. HEALTH AND SAFETY: This property is fully fumigated by a professional pest control provider, their last visit was August 17, 2023. Redundantly we asked the pest control company to visit the property on August 21. This service was performed at the exterior of the house because they advised that it is not safe to fumigate the interior when people are staying at the house. This property is exhaustively cleaned and disinfected before checking-in and after checking-out. Our sanitary standards are appreciated by all our guests, especially as it is reviewed by the guest that checked out two days before your arrival. 3. COMMUNICATION: The property manager answered all your messages and calls within the hour, even though several of them were sent late at night. The owner was in contact with you all the time. VRBO platform shows a conversation with 88 replies during your stay. When VRBO contacted the owner regarding the guest´s complaints, all issues were clarified immediately. 4. WATER: On August 21 at 8:05pm the owner and property manager received messages from the guests stating that the water in the house was turned off. At that time the guests were not at the house, so the security officer checked the outdoor faucets of the house, and they had good pressure running water. The other houses in the complex also had water. At 8:22pm the owner sent a plumber who could not go inside because the house was empty. After 10pm the guests informed the owner that the alleged problem was spontaneously solved. Meanwhile the owner had confirmed a second visit from the plumber the next day at 8:30am, which was not necessary because the alleged problem was spontaneously solved.

Thank you for your comments. Our house will be closed for one month to undergo a major maintenance job and restocking of utensils. The bunk beds are small as it is stated and showed in the pictures.
