Perissa is an enchanting coastal town on the southeast edge of the enchanting island of Santorini in the Cyclades, Greece. As a popular holiday resort, it's known for its breathtaking volcanic landscapes and its long, black sandy beach that merges with neighboring stretches, creating a 4-5 km beach strip that offers a variety of beach bars, water sports activities, and even a diving center. While it may not have the traditional Greek charm found elsewhere, Perissa compensates for it with its relaxed seaside nightlife and affordable pricing compared to the more tourist-heavy caldera side of the island.
Perissa also provides a plethora of local attractions and activities for visitors to indulge in. Attractions such as Aegean spas at Meltemi Blue offer incredible massages and a soothing atmosphere, while water games and activities like the popular "sofa" ride offer entertainment and enjoyment. The beautiful black sand beach of Perissa, lined with restaurants, offers a unique coastal experience, and vehicle rental services like Moto Empire and Motomania give visitors the flexibility to explore the island at their own pace.
When it comes to public transport, Santorini offers a range of options from public buses (KTEL), car rentals, taxis and private transfers, organized tours, water taxis, and even a cable car service. Public buses are considered a cost-effective way of transportation around the island, covering most places and tourist spots, including Perissa. The main bus journey to Perissa involves a transfer at Fira. For quick transportation, taxis provide a more expensive yet quicker alternative.
Santorini (Station) serves as a primary connection point for these buses, providing access to various parts of the island, including Perissa.
The Santorini Airport (JTR) serves as the closest airport to Perissa, with multiple transportation options available for the journey. Visitors can choose to take a bus ride from Thira Airport to Fira, and then another bus from Fira to Perissa, which takes about 1 hour and 18 minutes. The taxi service, while pricier, offers a quicker journey, approximately 13 minutes.
The Santorini Port, another significant transportation hub, also connects to Perissa via bus and taxi services. Bus journeys from the port to Perissa, although cost-effective, takes around 1 hour and 28 minutes and involves a transfer at Fira.

We would like to inform you about an important regulation mandated by the Greek government. From April to October, all guests are required by law to pay an Environmental Fee. This fee cannot be included in the booking price and must be collected separately before arrival, as stipulated by the Greek authorities.
The fee is:
€8 per night for apartments
€15 per night for villas

This amount is not a charge from us, and we do not profit from it in any way.
Once we collect this fee, we pay it in full directly to the government as a tax.
Unfortunately, we are not allowed to waive, reduce, or absorb this fee, no matter the circumstances.
Payment is required before check-in, as per Greek law.
We completely understand this might be frustrating, and we sincerely wish we could make it easier for you. However, we are legally obligated to comply, and without this payment, check-in is not permitted.
