The space
Step through the gorgeous mahogany front door framed by elegant columns and chile pepper ristras, and enter this inviting, spacious, contemporary southwestern home.

The airy and bright chef’s kitchen has finely crafted french white cabinetry, tile floors, state-of-the-art stainless steel appliances including a gas stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, french door fridge and sink with disposal. Storm-gray quartz counters and a kitchen backsplash the color of moonstone add an ambiance of serenity. Enjoy your morning coffee at the dinette with seating for two beside large picture windows with enchanting views of dramatic landscape; rolling foothills full of juniper and pinon pines, stark mountains, vast skies.

The living and dining room have original parquet hardwood flooring and share a dramatic two-sided stone fireplace. Gather in the living room on the sagebrush gray sofa to stream your favorite shows or movies on the smart TV. Or relax in an armchair to re-read “Red Sky at Morning.” The sofa also converts to a full sized bed for flexible sleeping arrangements.

A wall of windows offers panoramic views of the enclosed back yard, silver-green treetops of the pines, austere desert scenery and rugged Sangre de Cristo Mountains in the distance.

You’ll dream peacefully in the primary bedroom that has a king bed, a large closet, matching nightstands with reading lamps, a work desk and chair, and an ensuite primary bathroom. The ensuite primary bath has a dual-sink vanity, large well-lit mirrors, and a walk-in glass-door, spa-style shower.

The guest bedroom has two twin XL beds that can be converted to a King, nightstands with reading lamps and a large closet. Large windows fill both bedrooms with plenty of natural light. There’s a full bathroom off the hallway just outside the guest bedroom. This bathroom has a single sink vanity, large well-lit mirror and shower/tub combo.

After dinner, gather outdoors, in the backyard to watch the gold and crimson sunset spill across the sky. Sip sangria, light a fire in the fire pit, and watch as silver stars emerge from the black night. Take time to plan and discuss tomorrow’s adventures. A trip to the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum?
