Location of this property is excellent. Right across the street from the plaza. Staff was fine. Bathroom in room a bit small. Property overall could use a little TLC. If you like old rustic, Santa Fe style then this property is for you. But, ambiance was lacking. Freezing cold outside yet the lobby fireplace didn't have a fire. Several times coffee in lobby ran out in morning. The bar and restaurant had limited hours. No breakfast in morning because restaurant was closed. We found ourselves going next door to the Anasazi Hotel for drinks and food. There they had a warm, cozy atmosphere with a fire, soft music, and good drinks & food. The Chimayo misses out in this area. In just the two days we stayed we spent over $500 on drinks and food at Anasazi when we could have stayed and spent that money at the hotel where we were staying, Chimayo. Other than that our stay was ok. Nothing that wow'd us but nothing that really disappointed us either.
