Where do I begin? Just don’t do it. We stayed at The Sage, their sister hotel, in February. With the pee stained mattresses and no promised shuttle service, I should’ve known better than to stay at Coyote South.
Let’s start with their extra fee for amenities like shuttle service. The girl at the front desk said that there was no shuttle service because they were short staffed, which is the main reason I chose to stay there. More on that later…
The lobby is super cute and clean. It all ends there. Our shower wouldn’t drain, the towels felt like sand paper, you could feel the coils in the mattresses with one of the beds having urine stains by the pillow, the room smelled and looked dirty, you could hear every guest who arrived and left at all hours….
Back to the reason we chose this place: shuttle service to the Plaza and Railyards…. We ended up paying for a Lyft to take us on NYE. When the fireworks came to an end, I called a Lyft several times to no avail. My three kids and I ended up walking in freezing temperatures from Santa Fe Plaza to Coyote South. About five miles on Cerillos!!!
We happened upon The Sage Hotel on our way, in hopes they could help us. A guy answered the door, said they were full and let us walk away with zero help. Three kids and a mom left to walk two hours in the cold.
You were lucky if you could even find a staff member, much less a manager, so why even complain? The only semi decent part was the breakfast burritos. NEVER AGAIN.
