Ideal for families or groups, this house features a large communal area on the ground floor. The living room is equipped with a comfortable sofa and television, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing, flowing seamlessly into an elegant dining area.

The classic-style kitchen is fully equipped and ideal for preparing all your daily meals. In addition to the basic utensils, it features an oven, fridge, microwave, coffee machine, electric kettle, and a laundry room with a washing machine to assist you in your daily routine.

Access to the pleasant outdoor space lets you easily enjoy the fresh air. The patio is furnished with an inviting seating area (outdoor sofa and chairs), making it the perfect spot to gather with family, socialise, or simply soak up the excellent natural light during the day.

The three bedrooms are located on the upper floor, reached via an impressive staircase, and are cosily decorated to ensure complete rest. The spacious master bedroom with en-suite bathroom is equipped with a double bed and offers direct access to a sunny balcony. The other two bedrooms also feature comfortable double beds and wardrobes to store your belongings. The property also benefits from the convenience of 3 bathrooms (including a bathtub and a shower cabin).

The bathrooms have all the amenities, including towels and personal hygiene products for your convenience.

For your total comfort, the property has private parking.

Located on the sunny and welcoming hillside of Caniço, this accommodation offers you the perfect retreat where island tranquillity meets the vast blue of the Atlantic. The energy of this neighbourhood is relaxing, marked by the sea breeze and the calm pace of daily life. Within a very short distance, you will find the picturesque Praia dos Reis Magos, a bay famous for its crystal-clear waters. Heading out for a morning walk or a leisurely stroll along the scenic seafront promenade is a must, as is tasting grilled limpets and fresh black scabbardfish at one of the many typical seaside restaurants.

Despite enjoying all this coastal calm, the proximity to the capital, Funchal, is absolutely exceptional. Just a few minutes' drive away, you will be entering the vibrant heart of the city. You will have immediate access to the charming alleyways of the Old Town, the colours and aromas of the picturesque Mercado dos Lavradores, the iconic cable car, and all the rich cultural, architectural and gastronomic heritage that the Madeiran capital has to offer — and you can quickly return to your peaceful paradise at the end of the day.

Beyond this privileged connection to the capital, Caniço serves as an excellent logistical and strategic base to explore the greatest tourist attractions of the "Pearl of the Atlantic". With easy access to the expressway (VR1), planning island itineraries becomes incredibly practical. From here, it is easy to drive east to be amazed by the historic bay of Machico and the volcanic landscapes of Ponta de São Lourenço. Head inland to be awed by the above-the-clouds view from the imposing Pico do Arieiro, or follow the forest paths to explore the magical network of Levadas. In no time, you can also pop over to the neighbouring Garajau natural reserve to visit the famous Cristo Rei!

By bus, Horários do Funchal (HF) operates several lines with connections between Caniço and Funchal, with stops close to the property. The journey to the centre of Funchal takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

By car, the Expressway (VR1) is easily accessible and allows you to reach the centre of Funchal in approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Access to the island's main roads is straightforward, making Caniço an ideal base to explore Madeira.

Madeira International Airport – Cristiano Ronaldo is approximately 10 to 15 minutes away by car. Taxis and Uber are available in the area for transfers to the airport and Funchal.

This is a self check-in property and you will be asked to verify your identity before being able to check in to the accommodation (15:00). We ask all guests to fill in a registration form which will be sent after the booking confirmation, in accordance with the legal obligations stipulated by the local authorities in Portugal.

There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers any evidence that this rule has been violated (e.g. smell of tobacco, ash, cigarette butts, etc.), we reserve the right to charge a fee of at least €200 EUR.

Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair use policy for utilities will apply with an included limit of €80.

For the first days, we provide the following basic amenities: small containers of shower gel, shampoo and soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, washing-up liquid and a bin bag.

Extra keys: €20 (extra set when possible, lost keys or door-opening service).
Extra cleaning: price of one cleaning fee.
Extra linen: €30 (towels and sheets for 2 people, i.e. when the sofa bed is not included).

Please note: A rental contract must be signed online prior to your arrival. We will not be able to provide your check-in instructions until the contract is signed.
