Set on the escarpment above Garajau Beach and Christ the Redeemer statue, Vista Grande is so called because panoramic views of the sea are available from every bedroom and living area.
Arranged over three floors, this 3-bedroom air-conditioned villa is beautifully furnished and features a large games room and leisure room which, with the beautiful sun-exposed pool on a level below and surrounded by a lawn and trees, makes it a great villa for families or to simply relax and enjoy a drink while enjoying the sunset. This is one of the few villas in Madeira that enjoy this amazing uninterrupted sea-view.
From the main entrance and garage, a set of stairs lead to the first floor and where you can find the Master bedroom with ensuite, dressing area and private balcony and a further two double bedrooms and a family bathroom. An office that can be used for homeworking is also available in this floor.
Going down another set of stairs we find a spacious open plan lounge and dining room that leads to the front veranda and built-in barbecue (for alfresco dinning) and is complemented by a fully equipped kitchen and separate laundry.
The games room is accessible via an outside staircase, with sitting area (with a 1,40m wide sofa-bed for the 7th and 8th persons), flat screen TV and PlayStation, bar, and pool table and bathroom.
Another set of stairs leads to the pool deck and garden overlooking the ocean. The large swimming pool (optionally heated) is surrounded by sun-beds, sun umbrellas and a shower, lawn and trees.
Many further facilities are close by, with a good selection of restaurants and two branded supermarkets, easy access by cable car to the beach of Garajau, part of the Marine Reserve, with beautiful clear waters for a swim in the sea. The vibrant town of Funchal is a mere 15 minute drive away.

Swimming pool heating:

Pool heating can be provided and should be requested at least one week in advance. Should it be requested after arrival at the villa, the minimum charge applicable is one week, which is payable from the time the heating is turned on.

Within close walking distance, there is a mini-market, cafés, a couple of restaurants (including a takeaway) and a pharmacy. Two large branded supermarkets can also be found about 1 km away along with other shops.
The Garajau Beach part of a Marine Reserve and accessible by cable car, which is only 500m away, it's the perfect spot for a nice swim in clear waters.
Cleaning
The property is prepared for your arrival. For stays of longer than 7 nights, a change of linen and towels, and light mid-stay cleaning of bathrooms is provided on a day and time to be advised at check-in.
All linen and towels are provided, including towels for the swimming pool.
For health reasons, line for a baby cot is not provided and you should bring your own.
Booking Notes
The advertised prices are based on a 4-person occupancy and supplements apply should anyone join you for any length of time.
To secure your reservation we require a non-refundable deposit or the full amount if the reservation is made within 8 weeks prior to arrival. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival.
A security deposit of 300€ is required, charged in advance to a credit card. This will be returned to your credit card within 5 working days after your departure, subject to the villa being returned in good condition.
The minimum stay is 07 nights.
Final details for check-in and driving instructions to the property will be sent 7 days prior to arrival. A contact number will be provided, and to be able to access the property, you need to phone this number as you are leaving the airport. It is your responsibility to contact and advise the number provided on the check-in details to advise any delays to the expected check-in time.
Check-in times - at the property - are between 16H00 and 19H00. For Sunday arrivals and out of hours check-in, alternative arrangements will be made and an additional cost will apply.
Check-in and check-out flexibility will be applied where possible, but this will depend on housekeeping schedules and the departure and arrival days of other reservations either side of your stay; a definitive answer can only be provided within 24 hours of your arrival for check-in and your departure for check-out.
ECO TAX
You will be required to pay 2€ per person per night for all guests aged over 13 years old, up to a maximum of 14€ per person. This payment is required in cash at check-in, so please have it ready.

Leaving the airport take the dual carriageway in the direction of Funchal (road known as the Via Rápida).
At approximately 10.9kms you need to leave the motorway at junction 15, sign posted to GARAJAU

Continue driving for about 1km on this road until you reach a roundabout
On the roundabout take the first exit and drive to the end of the ramp, Vista Grande is the house in front.
