At the end of March we had a family get together in Sandpoint and stayed 3 nights. My husband and I spent the first night there alone and it was perfect. We sat outside, star gazed and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. Our son and his family, plus dog, joined us the next day. The home is around 1,100-1,200sq ft, well furnished, beds comfortable and plenty of seating. This is a "no frills" home and is great for a couple or for a family and pets. Each morning and evening we were treated to a herd of mule deer as they came by to graze in the backyard and drink from the creek that runs alongside the property. While for some it might seem a bit remote there are plenty of stores and shopping a few minutes away. Downtown Sandpoint is very walkable with a variety of stores and restaurants. Rachae was my contact for the home. She was very friendly, responded to all my queries immediately and was very helpful. Note: Since we were there at the end of March the evenings were very cool. The home has a gas burning stove in the living room and baseboard heat. We set the thermostats for the rooms we used and were very comfortable at night. Also, I feel that I should mention that the large backyard is not fenced. That wasn't a problem for us even with a dog and a two year old as we didn't leave them unattended for any length of time. We loved the quiet area and we'd definitely rent it again for all of us.
