This property has potential to be beautiful, which makes this disappointing to write.
The room was not clean and had multiple maintenance issues: dirty bed linens, worn furniture, bathroom drainage, flushing problems, and missing many basic amenities.The most concerning was the bed. We reported how unstable it was, the owner instructed front staff to warn us that we would be charged for the damage. When the bed was later pulled apart, it was obvious it had been broken and repaired in the past, clearly a known pre-existing issue. Being threatened with charges for something the owner was already aware of is not acceptable.
There were safety and maintenance concerns throughout the property, including loose pool tiles and uneven concrete. My partner injured his foot in the pool. Access to the resort is also a serious issue, Uber drivers were unwilling to come down the road because it is in such poor condition and can damage vehicles. Basic maintenance, even just adding gravel, would make a big difference.There was also a visible junk pile inside the resort which was unpleasant to see. Keeping the property basically tidy is bare minimum. Breakfast was good and pool service was excellent. Unfortunately, the overall cleanliness, maintenance, and safety concerns outweighed the positives. This place could be ok with proper upkeep and transparency, but in its current state, I wouldn’t recommend at all.
