This hotel was not as advertised- The parking is abysmal, as it is non-existent. There are 3 spots in the front and then there is an extra 2 spots across the street in a dirt patch. Not very welcoming for the hotel.
During check in, their credit card machine was not working. So I had to leave my passport with the desk in exchange for a deposit, which I am not comfortable doing in a country that I don’t know.
We were then told that there is a pool and restaurant on the top floor. So we visit the top floor to find a very empty rooftop, a small pool with the water level way too low. Then, we find the restaurant next to it which is also completely empty, except for someone standing outside the far doorway smoking a cigarette. There is no signage directing guests where to go, where each hallway leads and how to exit in an emergency.
When we arrive to our room, the key in the lock barely fits. You have to force the key into the hole-which I was quite worried that it would break the key.
Once we entered the room, immediately we noticed at least 3 lizards scatter from the center of the room. There’s a pedestal fan in the corner that’s leaning to one side, obviously showing that it is broken. I was able to flip it upside down and tighten the mounting screw. The room was extremely hot and humid, the air conditioning was turned off. They knew we were coming for quite some time, so I do not know why they didn’t attempt to cool down the room upon our arrival. The bed is hard as a roc
