The property is on a main thoroughfare so you are subject to the noise of air brakes and vehicles that don’t have catalytic converters anymore. My room was visibly dusty. The carpet needs to be vacuumed. It’s hard to say how frequently the bathroom sink and shower get cleaned with a soap scum and mildew removal product.

Large room. Even tho it said breakfast included they wanted a surcharge. The swimming pool was too cold to enjoy it.

It’s old. The toilet did not flush very well and the bath did not drain. Maybe it was only in that room. However, I’m sure they’ve had complaints before. The service in the restaurant was excellent and the food was great.

Muy agradable el ambiente del hotel y de la ciudad en general. Recomiendo totalmente al hotel Villa Tournon por su amabilidad, hospitalidad y sobre todo su ubicación que es accesible a varios puntos de interés de la ciudad de San José.

HOTEL BUENO PERO PUEDEN MEJORAR
La atención del personal del hotel fué lo mejor, creo a las habitaciones y las instalaciones les hace falta una remodelación urgente, el mobiliario parece antiguo y la verdad el desayuno nada recomendable. El servicio a la habitación es mucho mejor que en restaurante.

Ok for the price
The staff were welcoming and the general standard of the hotel is ok. Our room had a musty smell. Not bad over all for the price but in need of a refurb. They charge you extra for coffee in your room which is a bit unusual in a hotel.

Close to the centre with secure parking
We were a family of 4 staying in 2 rooms for 2 nights. The hotel was easy to find by car and has secure underground parking available. The centre of the city is a 20 minute walk away but a taxi is a safer option, particularly at night. The rooms are spacious with 2 double beds and there is a swimming pool with hot tub available. The reception staff are efficient and friendly. This hotel would suit families, couples or business travelers.

Lovely staff, rooms are basic, very dated but clean. No fridge. Nice pool, powerful showers. 15-20 min walk to city centre, but only do this in daylight!

We thank you for your time in this comment. We would like to clarify that only standart rooms do not have a refrigerator, as the other categories do. Additional, I commented that our location is very close to different areas to visit, such as museums, government buildings, private companies and institutions, one of the most important newspapers of the country and likewise, the area where the hotel is located are the safe ones of all San Jose. We hope to receive you again in our facilities in the next visit.
