We travel a lot and this hotel has to be on the top 5 most beautiful properties we have visited. We stayed for 5 nights - The staff was so helpful and friendly. Everything was impeccable. The room service/ food was a bit pricey but the food was delicious and everything always fresh! We would definitely stay here again.

This was an amazing luxury experience with some of the most delicious food options I’ve ever had. All the staff were polite and very helpful with whatever needs we had. Will definitely return again if not make it a recurring vacation.

This is a very beautiful and peaceful place to stay. The staff are some of the friendliest I have ever encountered and it seemed genuine at all times. We especially liked Gustavo at Mako who made our dinner most memorable and our butler, Joshua, who was so kind and attentive. They are both very warm gentlemen.

This property is so beautiful and luxurious! Being a designer I had walked this property when it opened and researched the architect. I was so excited when I could finally book my stay. All of the affluent details throughout at gorgeous. The warm stone walls, the perfectly planned out and maintained native landscape...down to the stunning infinity pools that makes you feel like you are floating in the ocean. We enjoyed the jacuzzi spas alone many mornings and evenings, which was also very relaxing. The food and service throughout was great. We loved that it was peaceful, quiet, and there were people around but we weren't surrounded by them. We had our own butler for the Oasis room- we texted with him if we needed anything. The room was gorgeous and luxurious and the double hammock on the balcony was so fun to have! I highly recommend- it was perfect for a quiet getaway!

Solaz is visually stunning - lush vegetation, sleek modern architecture, numerous pools and hot spas with incredible views of the ocean, plenty of lounge seating around the pools/spas with large umbrellas for shading, and very spacious rooms (ours had an outer courtyard, large sleeping/bathroom area, and a patio with an ocean view and plunge pool. Everything, both indoors and out, was immaculate! We absolutely loved being there. I do have two complaints: 1) After checking in, we were greeted by an employee who took us (and our keys) to a seating area to “explain the layout of the resort.” His real purpose was to sign us up for a personal tour of the complex (alarm bells!). Time share sales pitch anyone? After several refusals to participate on our part, he finally handed our keys over to someone who escorted us to our room. There is nothing like being held hostage after a long flight to be coerced into participating in a time share pitch! 2) As others have mentioned, the food and drinks at the various restaurants are very pricey. For example, we payed $104 for the buffet breakfast for 2 (not including the tip). Most mornings we opted for the buffet, which was very good. You can also order from a menu (also pricey). We agreed that the Japanese restaurant was the best for dinner - great food that was more reasonable priced. Despite these two complaints, Solaz is an amazing resort and, if we return to Cabo, will undoubtedly elect to stay there again.

This hotel is gorgeous. It's huge so you don't feel crowded and there's always a pool chair. My only complaint is the traffic noise from the street. Make sure to ask for a room close to the beach.

Very well run resort. Clean, friendly, and with beautiful facilities and landscaping. The beach is swimmable and perfect water temperature. All of the staff were very attentive and friendly and were always happy to help with issues large or small. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, we cannot rate the hotel based on having it used but rather on the poorly and lack of professionalism we encountered when we arrived to the property for our check-in to find out it completely shut down without informing the guests. This is utterly unacceptable specially from a "Luxury Resort" backed up by Marriott. We never got an email or response of why this happened. Awful way of approaching the issue!

Very disappointing for the money you’re spending. Stay at a Ritz, ten times better food, customer service and overall experience. Honestly couldnt wait to come back from this trip. Staff was unhelpful, butler wasnt even on the property half of our trip, was served undercooked pasta twice and the staff is very unorganized. Was charged improperly multiple times at restaurants because of how unorganized they were. VERY disappointing. I strongly encourage all to consider this review and stay elsewhere.

Amazing staff we enjoyed the many pools they had especially upfront ocean view. Room was great and house keeping was perfect always left room nicely organized and clean.

Loved this place. The setting is so beautiful! Several infinity pools overlooking a gorgeous beach! We were given our own personal “butler” during our stay, and he was wonderful! The total experience was fantastic!

Pros: Great hotel grounds, very clean, nice looking. Very friendly staff. Nice view from our room. Advanced lighting and shades control systems in the room. Good internet connection. Good quality gym. High quality restaurants open in the evening. Free valet parking. Minutes driving to good beaches. Cons:Room has inconvenient architecture design with one stone counter that houses sinks, storage and refrigerator with a tight passage behind. No desk, impossible to do any work. Can't enter bathroom if the closet door is open. Very basic closet. I guess this style was meant to look modern but actually quite 70s. Unfortunately, we were not able to get a better room /reasonably priced upgrade although half of the hotel was empty. Only one restaurant was open during the day. Motel quality breakfast, with no buffet. No swimming pools that are made for swimming, has various shallow pools and cocktail pools. The beach is a nice looking ocean front, but too dangerous for an average person to swim. Basically one cannot swim in this hotel. All sports facilities and the spa closed at 7 pm. Overall, not a bad option, but depending what you would like to do you may want to seek other options.
