Good value; great location!
There were a tonne of positives to this property; the location was amazing, the hot tub was excellent, the host/check in process was easy and drama free. I feel like the posted photos don't do justice to how good this property is for the value- would recommend. Our only small issue was sometimes the water pressure wasn't very good- otherwise it was a great stay!

This is an excellent casita to stay in for 2 people. It was clean & the bed is so super comfortable. Having a garage to park in is what made this place stand out from others for us. The contactless check in & check out is why we choose places like this over hotels. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great stay!
The location was perfect and the views were great. Loved being able to use a garage and soaking in the hot tub! The location was quiet and clean and a great place for our visit. Scott offered to let us check in early which was super convenient since we came in on an early flight. Great place to stay!

Comfy casita with ocean views
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the casita. Can I start by saying what a relief it was to have a garage for parking!! We were in town for a work conference and had a huge rental suv that would have been awful to park in the street. Scott was super accommodating and allowed us to check in a bit early, which worked out perfectly leaving downtown and going right to the beach. The casita was super cute and spacious!! There was plenty of room for all our luggage and didn’t feel like it was in the way. Keep in mind there are stairs leading to the room so pack accordingly. The kitchen was a nice change from hotel living, although we didn’t cook anything it was a nice place to keep our snacks and cold items (local beer, of course!). The bed was SOOOO COMFY!! I could have just laid there all day, it was like sleeping on a cloud. The wall that separated the bathroom was made of those thick glass bricks, so it’s somewhat see through. May not be ideal if your sharing with others or are shy. There’s a cute patio with a great view of the ocean. We didn’t have time to check out the jacuzzi, but it was very private and looked nice!! Love how walkable OB is, although you’ll get a good leg workout if you’re not used to a steep climb. There’s a ton of great food and bars nearby and, of course, the Sunset Cliffs. I’ll absolutely check this place out during my next trip to OB.

Great location
Great place to stay, it was easy to get anywhere in the area. The unit is very spacious, you have a lot of space to move around. The hot tub was fantastic after a long day of walking along the area beaches.

Beautiful & Relaxing
Private rooftop terrace, able to see fireworks every night from sea world! Hot tub was clean, private, & kept hot. AC worked well, beds were comfortable. Only 1 king bed & a pullout couch, decent size though. Location was nice, felt safe. Absolutely loved having our own garage space. Overall we had an amazing experience at the Casita. Would highly recommend for a single family!

The PERFECT location
This little Casita has it all. Beautiful views, a comfortable bed and a location that can’t be beat. The pull out couch worked great for our children to sleep and there were many extra blankets and pillows to make sure everyone was comfortable. This Casita is a few blocks up the hill from all of the wonderful things Ocean Beach has to offer! Be sure to hit up Azucar and try some Cubano espresso and a meat pie- or other delicious pastry! We loved being there and just enjoying the weather, the sites and the easy access to all of San Diego. Here you are just minutes from Old Town, from the zoo, from Mission Bay and Sea World and even La Jolla is only a short drive away. Scott is an excellent and caring host and everything was exactly as described in the listing (or better!). Every morning you can enjoy your coffee on the balcony and be visited by hummingbirds and even the OB resident flock of parrots. We hope to stay here again in the future. It will be our first choice for Ocean Beach for sure!

Ocean Beach Casita
Had a wonderful stay. The view, location and amenities can't be beat. Having a garage to park in was great. The hosts are very generous and accommodating. I highly recommend this place for a true San Diego and Ocean Beach experience!

Private and Quiet
The property is in a quiet neighborhood. Minus a few barking dogs and being under flight lines of the airport. Beautiful view daytime or night. Have to drive to the beach which we found quite a few homeless people. The town is adorable and lots of places to eat.

Perfect getaway location
My husband and I love this place. Everything we were expecting was nearby. Beach, restaurants, stores, and Sea World. We liked the convenience of having our private parking; availability to washer/dryer, spa. Our host was the best and extremely pleasant. I would highly recommend this location, the view speaks for itself.

Beautiful place, huge hot tub for your use, parking spot in a garage, bed was super comfy. If you are tall, you will love this place! Shower head very high, bar stools definitely for a tall person. And… some views of the ocean on nice days. Cannot recommend enough!

Wonderful views of ocean
Great little get away. Everything you could want within a short drive or strenuous walk. It's on a big hill so the views are great, but the walk back up the hill is definitely a workout! Very private in spite of the shared washer/dryer. On take off path for planes taking off from San Diego International Airport, so be sure to turn fan on for white noise if you plan to sleep in!

10th Anniversary Getaway
My fiance and I stayed here for 4 nights/5 days (Aug 21-25) to celebrate our 10th anniversary and explore my hometown. Check-in was easy as can be; I let Scott know when we arrived in town and he let us check-in a bit early once the cleaning staff had finished up, which was appreciated. The Casita was cute, clean, and comfortable. Plenty of space for the two of us and had everything we needed but couldn't pack- extra towels, extra pillows/linens/blankets, coffee maker (3 kinds- we opted for the French press), and we used a couple of beach chairs too. The rooftop patio was really nice, and had great views of the ocean and surrounding area; we liked having our coffee there in the mornings. The hot tub after long days exploring (plus a day at Disneyland) was so therapeutic and we enjoyed it at least once a day, sometimes two. The only downsides I can really think of are the noise from the planes overhead can be loud/unexpected if you're not used to it (it's directly under the airport flight path), as well as some serenading by some very vocal neighbor dogs, lol... there are also some noises from neighbors/security lights going off at times, since you're on the alley side of the property, but it all wasn't really a problem for us since we were so tired from exploring each day. We really appreciated having a garage to park our rental car in, too; we felt really safe and secure. The fireworks from Sea World are perfectly visible from the front window, too, which was an unexpected treat! Try to catch them quickly, as it's not a huge show (goes off at 9pm for about 5 minutes). We also stopped at a cute little Target on Newport Avenue to get a few groceries- it's strangely small (like CVS small) which was surreal and funny! Only thing I wanted at the Casita but didn't have was a box fan or some other fan to move the air around at night (we are "white noise" sleepers!) but we made it work with the wall a/c. Overall, we had such a fantastic time, and would stay here again. Highly recommend! Thanks again, Scott!

This cute and clean casita is conveniently located to many nearby attractions. There were many things in the casita that made the stay convenient and with many of the comforts of home. Scott was polite, accommodating, and prompt with responses to questions.

Family Vacation and Anniversary trip
This was a great place. very clean and the location was close to everything. We had all the amenities we needed. The hot tub at night was a plus after a long day at the beach. Having the washer/dryer and the outdoor shower with 2 kids was very convenient. Thank you so much for the great hospitality, and the bottle of wine was a nice surprise. We will definitely be back next year :)

The View!
So many good things about this property. Private spa, amazing views, walking distance to beach and Newport Blvd, sooo many DVDs (we suggest you watch the three Wonderland DVDs), super clean, really comfy bed, swivel tv, water purifier (bonus!), washer and dryer, garage...so many good things. The owner put a lot of amazing details like putting motion lights outside. Very responsive. I can’t wait to go back.

Fabulous stay

Practically Perfect in Every Way
Just a wonderful stay! Our two young daughters are so sad to “leave our new home.” We enjoyed the deck, hot tub, outside shower, covered parking and being so close to the ocean. Just a great place all around! We will be back!

Perfect Spot!
This bright, large studio was perfect! It is on the 2nd flor and located right at the top of the hill so the views of the city, ocean, sunset and sunrise are fabulous. The walk down to OB center was easy (about 10- 15 mins) - just be ready for the hike back up! The place was clean, the bed was like sleeping on a giant cloud, and the large outdoor terrace was the icing on the cake. Great shower too. Scott was a great host. I would highly recommend this rental.

Great little casita
Our stay at Scott's property was great. The casita sits behind his house and has it's own entrance. You have access to a hot tub, BBQ, and an amazing view from the balcony. The studio was great for 3 people which includes a good-sized bathroom and kitchen. There are also all the basic amenities available (utensils for cooking, etc) which is much appreciated and makes it feel more like home. This is a great place to stay for an extended stay in San Diego and we would stay here again!

Location location!
We had a very relaxing vacation at the casita. The bed is very comfortable and the location is quiet. It is so close to Ocean Beach with plenty of shopping and restaurants. We loved the area. If needing to use the pack n’ play for an infant, bring a fitted sheet for it. Also, bug spray for sitting on the patio if mosquitos love you!

I was there for two weeks on business Greet to get away from the conference I will not stay at a San Diego Hotel again if this this place is available The Owners are great and accommodating A desk would be great, but the patio, hot tub, laundry, and watching the Red Sox win on the big screen made the stay terrific. The only problem in writing a good review is that it might not be available again

The casita was a wonderful home base for our week-end getaway! The location was perfect - in a quiet neighborhood close to the beach and shops and restaurants of Ocean Beach, and with easy access for exploring other parts of San Diego. The unit itself was great - we loved the rooftop deck and all the natural light, it was well-stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies, and the bed was super comfy. And Scott was a perfect host - easy to reach and very responsive. We would definitely stay there again!
