The Empty Nest

Welcome to the Empty Nest, a very spacious two-bedroom, one-bath home located in one of the few historic districts of San Antonio, only six minutes to downtown Riverwalk and its many restaurants, Market Square, Tower of the Americas, the historic Alamo, the Spurs AT&T Center and Alamodome, the Shops at La Cantera and many other tourists’ attractions. The home is also 10 to 12 minutes from the S.A. Airport, Lackland AFB, and Ft. Sam Houston military cadet academies.
The architectural design, the beautiful rustic décor, original hardwood floors, the historic quiet location, and the spacious relaxing comfort throughout the home are a few favorite features of our past guests. The Empty Nest will surely meet your expectations and assure your first stay will not be your last.
The house provides a spacious layout large enough to accommodate those who prefer complete privacy as well as areas where you and your traveling party can gather to enjoy quality time together. Our large kitchen, dining room, spacious living room, relaxing sunroom, and outdoor deck are perfect areas for relaxation and dinning.
The house and all rooms pictured on the site are offered as private and are not shared with anyone, including the homeowner.
Our two beautiful spacious bedrooms are furnished with queen-size beds that are prepared for every guest with clean and sanitized bedsheets and pillowcases. The larger bedroom also includes a full-size sleeper sofa. In addition, each mattress and every pillow are prepared with interchangeable protective encasements for extra protection and comfort. Both rooms have locks on the doors for privacy, Dish Network Cable TV, Netflix and Apple TV, and a lighted vanity and armoire.
Our large bathroom is its own separate room and is not located in either bedroom, providing complete privacy for our guests. The spacious walk-in shower provides easy entry into the shower without having to step over a high ledge or bathtub. You will enjoy the large built-in shower bench to relax on after your long day.
For those who prefer to stay in and cook hot meals, our large kitchen provides all the modern amenities needed to treat your traveling party to hot home cook meals. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, microwave, a large refrigerator solely for your use, a dishwasher, and plenty of cookware and spices. We provide all of our guests with free coffee, both drip and Keurig coffee makers as well as individually wrapped pastries. A major grocery chain store is only two minutes away.
A washer and dryer are also provided as a courtesy to all of our guests.
Off-street secured parking is available if preferred.
We are committed to making all of our guests feel welcome, safe, and comfortable. We provide all that is needed so you can enjoy a relaxing and memorable stay while in San Antonio. We want our Empty Nest to be your home away from home.
Our guest’s health and safety is always our priority. Like you, we too worry about COVID and other health related issues when traveling. This is why we go to extra lengths to make all our guests feel safe while in our home. Every room, from top to bottom, to every dish, doorknob, and all furnishings are professionally cleaned and thoroughly sanitized prior to every guest’s arrival and offer a one to two-day interval between bookings. As an added safety measure, we provide all our guests with plenty of disinfected sprays, Lysol wipes, and hand sanitizers to use during your stay. BinaxNow Covid 19 test kits, blood pressure monitors, a glucose monitor, and no contact digital thermometers are immediately available upon your request.

Prior to arrival, guests are provided self-check in/check-out instructions along with an access pass-code to our lockbox or can choose to meet with the host to answer any questions or provide for special needs.
