A little piece of heaven
Bob and Deb are fantastic hosts! So is Lilly( their dog)!! They have transformed what was an old horse barn into an oasis of peace from this harried world. We will definitely be returning.

I will come again
I stayed for two nights and I wish I would’ve stayed longer. The host Debbie and her husband are probably some of the nicest individuals I’ve ever met. They did something for us personally that I would have never expected! The cabin was also way bigger than I expected, especially after I went to the loft! The cabin was really nice, but that loft was nothing short of amazing. If you have the chance to stay here… you will not regret it.

Nice getaway
This cottage is bigger than photos portray! the loft is a finished very spacious upstairs space. Front Deck is such a nice place to relax. Full kitchen, I cooked with ease. Really nice welcoming hosts.

This property was easily the most unique place we have ever stayed. The owners are both lovely people who really put effort into making sure guests have a wonderful experience. We had a wonderful time staying here. Bob and Debbie are great hosts. Such a cute house, everything we needed was provided. Lots of things to do. Waterfalls, boat tour at Lake Lure. Tryon horse shows, Good restaurants . God’s country for sure!

Quiet Location, Great Hosts, Great Amenities
This house had everything you could need. All the kitchen must haves, great space. Hosts had all kind of games, movies and books for your use. Quiet location and good place to escape the hectic day to day. Many great hiking spots close by. Looking forward to my next trip, would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for our family of 5
We had the best experience renting this cabin. The owners are close by and great with communication. The cabin is much larger than it seems in photos. The upstairs is huge and our three girls loved having such a big space. The cabin has everything you need and is decorated so cute. We were there during a huge snow and the cabin was so warm and cozy. The girls were able to enjoy the snow in the enormous yard and field. The check in couldn’t be simpler and the cabin was extremely clean. We would absolutely stay again!

Perfect getaway for a busy family
Our family was in need for a quiet getaway and this was the perfect spot. Bob, Debbie, Betty Jane were the perfect hosts. They were easy to contact and were quick to make sure that we were comfortable in every way. The house was better than we imagined and you can tell love that went into renovating it. Saluda is the sweetest town with Hendersonville just 20 minutes away. We look forward to returning!

The Riddle family were great guests. It was like we have always known them. They took care of and enjoyed the cabin, and we were invited to set around the firepit. We would love to have them come back and visit.

Perfect retreat
Communication with hostess was quickly responded to, property was very clean and well stocked. Ideal setting in peaceful mountain side with babbling creek near porch. Plenty to do nearby. Very comfortable beds and furniture. Just the recharge we needed!

Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Very soft sheets and comfortable beds allowed me to sleep like I was at home. Debbie and Robert were wonderful. When they found out I was bringing my father who has Alzheimers they put up some extra fencing for safety. This was so kind. I know I will stay with them again! Also beautiful views. Cindy

Tranquil, relaxing, quiet, serine - one with nature. Driving amazing going up the mountain and coming down through close to nature, only in less then 10 minutes drive through forest, amazing feeling. Beautiful l hikes, falls nearby hikes in nature.

A Great Home Base
This little cabin was the perfect home base to come home to after a day of sightseeing, antiquing, or just enjoying nature. The hosts are very accommodating and the coffee and snacks are just the icing on the cake! Our family of four enjoyed getting our apple fix at Granddads in Hendersonville, eating at Green River BBQ, and no trip to the area would be complete without a visit to Caro-Mi. Cozy, homey cabin!
We loved our stay in Debbie’s barn cabin. She graciously waited up for us to greet us as we drove in though it was late. The second we walked in we felt at home. One reviewer said it was like a warm hug, and that’s how I’d describe it as well. It was also SO clean. The linens were all clean and soft. Our children loved the decor and had fun sleeping in the huge loft together. They kept saying they felt like they were in a Laura Ingalls Wilder book! The snacks were also a very nice surprise. We loved all the books and everything about this renovated cabin made us smile realizing the owners are people of true character. It was a pleasure staying here, and we plan to return, hopefully soon!

Great mountain escape!
Location was perfect for day hikes and exploring the nearby small towns. The property itself was a very clean spacious rustic cabin with privacy from neighboring properties. Kids had a great time in the loft with the entertainment, but enjoyed the yard and playing hide and seek more as weather was so nice! We used the fire pit and had cookouts. We came in late summer for apple picking nearby, but imagine it would be great any time of year. Had a great time and highly recommend!

Nice Family Get away
The barn/cabin provided a wonderful place for our family to get away and explore the Saluda and Hendersonville areas. We especially enjoyed the large space upstairs with a table perfect for playing games each night of our stay. The cabin's furnishings not only matched the barn setting but were comfortable too.

"A Special Place"
This wonderful cabin was warm, cozy and clean with a well equipped kitchen. It welcomed us when we arrived and each night thereafter. Our hosts, Debbie and Bob, had it ready for our late arrival complete with snacks. In the AM they greeted us and made us feel right at home. We especially enjoyed grilling and eating on the deck which overlooked the beautiful manicured grounds. Thank you Debbie and Bob for sharing this special place with us. We can't wait to return.

Family fun
My family and I had such a wonderful stay. We were warmly greeted at our arrival and surprised by the snacks for us. We all stayed upstairs in the loft like a big slumber party. Plenty of room as the home was bigger than expected. A wonderful job converting the barn into a home. We loved the rustic, cozy feel. It was so peaceful and quiet. The location was perfect for all the places we wanted to visit. Each night we enjoyed playing family games together. All in all we truly loved the family time we spent together here.

Quick Getaway
My husband and I had a great visit. We loved the home. It was quiet, rustic and very relaxing. We are actually planning on a return trip. This was just a quick getaway, but we would love to do some more exploring of the area. We loved the town of Saluda and we went to Parson Falls for a short hike. Met some very interesting people in the town and also along the trail to the falls. The home was cozy (a little big for just the two of us) but we enjoyed every minute of being there, sitting on the porch, reading a book. The owners provided all the amenities to include some snacks which were great as well. A wonderful place to stay. We were greeted upon arrival even though we were late getting there. We would recommend staying in this home to anyone who wants some relaxation.

Exceed expectations
Beautiful setting. Cleanliness was over the top with everything needed provided. Many antiques and beautiful furnishings. Excellent quality towels and linens. Peaceful and quaint!
We booked for a last minute getaway for Easter weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our 4 year old loved the outdoor space and said “this was the best camping trip ever!” :) Conveniently located to other neighboring towns to explore also. We will definitely be back!

Great quiet weekend

Great family mountain getaway
Lovely quiet cabin in the country. Debbie's directions were perfect, and we had no problem finding the place even with arriving late in the evening. All of the little appointments were much appreciated, from the coffee and creamers to the chips and cookies. The kitchen and bath were well appointed with everything a family would need to prepare meals in the cabin. The upstairs loft is much larger than you might expect. It has two single beds, a double bed, and a futon that could sleep one adult or two little ones. The location is about as quiet as you could ask for. Debbie and Robert were wonderful friendly hosts! Downtown Saluda, Flat Rock, and Hendersonville a short drive away. Chimney Rock and Lake Lure are less than an hour away. Pearsons Falls and Melrose Falls (great hike and fantastic high falls) are less than 15 minutes away.

Thanksgiving get away
The "barn" is clean and super comfortable. The upper loft is actually so much bigger than the pictures. The downstairs kitchen and dining room is cozy and a good place to talk while you cook and eat. I recommend bringing a Roku to plug into the TV to watch movies at night (cable is limited to a view channels). The internet is very good if you need to catch up on work (or have kids lol). I also recommend using the owner's directions to get there as Google maps took me to a vacant hillside(🤣🤣🤣). The only downside is one bathroom but it wasn't a big deal for us🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️. Id definitely stay there again though!!!

We loved staying at “His Stables” it is really a unique place nestled in the mountains of Saluda!

Weekend away
My boyfriend and I planned to go to Saluda to have a weekend away and soak in the nature. Unfortunately, it rained all weekend and we spent 95% of our time at the property. It was lovely, spacious and in a beautiful location. We’re both cautious about COVID-19 and I felt the house was very safe and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous “Horse barn-cabin-house”!
My kids loved calling it a horse barn-cabin-house. It has the feeling of all 3 combined! We loved how the elements of the horse barn were very apparent while it had the rustic-ness of a cabin and the coziness of a house. The loft is a LOT larger than the pictures show. Plenty of room for a family of 6. The kids really loved playing in the yard and in the creek out front. Debbie and Robert were very friendly and helpful but still gave us privacy. We had everything we needed and the beds were comfy and the house was clean! We thoroughly loved our vacation to the mountains. The cabin is only about 15 minutes to downtown Saluda and we really enjoyed Pearson Falls (only about 5 mins away and not a hard walk to see the falls). We drove to Chimney Rock which was about 45 mins away and to Sky Top Orchards which was about 30 mins away. But the highlight of the trip was going to Green River Adventures and going kayaking as a family down the river. We had perfect weather and the perfect horse barn-cabin-house to stay in! HIGHLY recommend this home and area to stay.
