HelloI am sorry that you don't feel that your stay met your expectations. It is always better to have these conversations in person, and give the people that have not met your expectations a chance to respond to make it right. Sometimes when visiting smaller destinations it is better to phone the hotel before arriving in order to tell others what your expectations are, to see if they are actually attainable for the business. There are a lot of great places to stay on Salt Spring Island hopefully you will find your favorite next time you visit! We provide welcome bags for our guests that consist of a B Corp water bottles to refill during your stay, at a water station with your choice of ice water and infused water. A little treat from us and a map of our little piece of paradise. The rooms are caffeinated with sustainable minded companies, Nespresso machine and Nunshen Chamomile and Earl Grey teas. Speaking of which our very own Salt Spring Coffee just won an award in "Organic Leadership" A great little shop to visit while on the Island! We have much to offer along with other businesses that we work closely with on the island. Our beds are comfy and rooms are sleek, naturally relaxing and clean. We are located walking distance to Ganges which is central to the Island and home to many one of a kind shops. There is public transit less than 3 blocks away, a Hop on and Hop off Bus that can take you to many unique places on the island or we can help you book a Tour Salt Spring session. There are many amenities that the offers hotel perhaps that you were not aware of? Safe Travels!

HelloSorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. I do see that the guest services team upgraded your room to a deluxe king room that view of Ganges Harbour on your own private deck is stunning! I do realize the rain and the bad wind that day may have played a part on your rating. Unfortunately there was some issues with our internet which has not happened on the island for a long time we are actually known to have the best WIFI on the island and actually have locals that come to us so they have a clear signal. It unfortunate that you experienced the opposite during your stay. I am available for discussions when something during your stay is not quite right and our team works hard to alleviate issues as they are brought to our attention. #islandlife

We are centrally located on the island and close to many amenities. The hotel offers welcome packages and in room treats as well. We are happy to offer one night stays such as yours while guests visit the island, most places during peak season do not offer that service, perhaps that is why you had booked with us as you only were able to spend one night? We feel there is a lot of value in what we offer, I am sorry that you did not feel the same way.

We hear you about the elevator...our team works hard to ensure everything is in tip top shape and that means we do stairs a few times a day. Elevators on a small Island are very hard to find as we have different building codes to follow. Luckily we have a amazing front desk team and if you phone them directly they can ensure that you get the room that suites your needs and mobility concerns.Our restaurants open at 7:30am. If you are an early riser we are just rolling out the new line of Nespresso Citiz programs in our rooms. Whether you are looking for a great cup of "Joe", an Espresso or a nice spot of Nunshen Tea to enjoy at whatever time you prefer in the comfort of your own space.

HelloThanks for taking the time to send in a review and it was nice to meet you!I believe that it was your friends room that was having an issue with the door lock and not yours, though I did let your room know that when you leave the deadbolt on to keep the door ajar for your friend to visit it does damage the lock. We were more than happy to change out the other rooms damaged lock and I was happy how to show them how to use the dead bolt properly, as I agree with you security is important.I am sorry to hear that you were not able to navigate the wood bedframes, we are looking at your suggestions and I am sure our new guests will appreciate the heads up to watch for those tricky corners.An elevator sure would be nice, being on a smaller island I think we have different building codes. I agree and we have tried. Our team is always more than happy to help you up with your bags or if you have mobility issues it is always better to phone the hotel direct to get the room that best suits your needs for that stay. I am glad that you enjoyed the rest of your stay and I hope the other room had shared the bottle of Salt Spring wine that we provided. I do truly wish your friends would have opted to change rooms as the view of the Harbour from that private patio would have been amazing! Next time
