Charming getaway
We loved this quaint and rustic property! It was tucked away from the bustle of town on a beautiful, peaceful property! The bed was very comfortable. The property manager was great at communicating and made the check-in process very easy!

How does a place get a Premier Rating?
Disappointed in the outside up keep from the appearance of the entry gate (Moss growing on gate) and front entrance ( spider webs). Ant traps throughout the place. Our third night we had a mouse run across the floor. Packed up and left with two nights remaining (no notice given). Very disappointed.

It would've been extremely nice for you to communicate with me! To just run and not communicate with the host is unacceptable and I don't except your review! It's just wrong, I can't believe a word you're saying because you've never communicated. Definitely you're not a good fit to be a guest of mine. Angela

Lovely but dripping faucet
Lovely spot, cozy, clean and comfortable. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there was an issue with the faucet, which dripped constantly, gradually over several days just running hot water all the time and made it difficult to get cold water.

Nice property, but old
Beautiful property, easy check in process and communication. However, the place smells old and there was evidence of mice and ants.

She says that the barn "BARN" smells like animals. I can't say it enough this is a working farm, it's a barn please people don't book a place like this if you don't want to stay in a Beautiful old barn, that can? smell like an old barn. Please and thank you from your host!

Rare Magical Property
We enjoyed this hidden gem secluded next to the Willamette River with lots of song birds, ducks, & vegetation around the banks. The quiet sprawling country estate is perfectly secluded back from the highway. Our ground-level cozy Bunk House had a scenic focal-point bay window & abundance of literature for guests. We never turned on the TV during our relaxing 3-night stay. Enjoyed flowing streams with benches on this well-manicured estate. This VRBO felt like something from a storybook. Very rare, wonderful experience. March 2023.

Overall good. Would be nice to have more modern tv with HDMI input options. There was food in fridge when arrived, weird. Also shampoo/conditioner bottles in the shower, weird. Recommend turning some heat on for guests prior to arrival, it was icebox when arriving from AZ

Beautiful spot
Very tranquil and serene place and a lovely place to relax. The indoor lighting is a bit lacking but other than that we had a great visit. Angela was terrific to work with and the peace and quiet was just what we wanted.

This place is just heavenly. The grounds are beautiful. I felt safe and secure. The property backs up to a state park. Cabin feel, comfortable bed, nice amenities, Very thorough instructions about entry, Gated. This is a very quiet serene place to stay. I loved every minute of it!

Peaceful, Private and Quiet
Neat little spot, had everything you need. Bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately a bit hard (cumbersome) to find and although clean was a bit musty until we were able to air it out. Briefly met Angela, she was very nice. The bunkhouse is very convenient for us, we'll stay here again.

"Ultimate relaxer"
Great little relaxing place to stay! Simple, rustic accommodations in a beautiful setting just minutes from downtown and west Salem. Loved the place, sorry we missed the horses....That would have been pure heaven for us.

100 acre wood
The landscape was perfectly groomed, the dog greeting was on point(my personal favorite), and the natural surroundings (e.g. river, wild birds, etc.) are a must see. The rustic decorum in the efficiency gives a ranch vibe. For the price I paid, I expected a cleaner space and was hopeful for a refund on my cleaning deposit. Hoping for a follow up text from the property manager. Thank you for making your property a beautiful alternative to a standard hotel.

Incredible setting!
Small funky barn style cabin on secluded absolutely stunning property. Set in a quiet forest overlooking a large pond with water lilies, frogs and ducks. Very clean. Would highly recommend.

Improvements
Pleasant stay but there was an odor of skunk in the evenings, Wi-Fi was not consistent, the gate did not open automatically to exit two of the three days, there wasn’t any cream for coffee, the lighting could have been better, and it would have been nice to have heat in the bathroom.

Laws this is a very rare review for this property. If you go and look you see that almost 100% of the guest are 100% please. I just don’t think it was the right choice for you please don’t come back. Thank you

Tiny but beautiful!
As a place to get a goodnights rest, refreshed, and recharged it was great! Tho the tv static was so loud it played over most shows, and internet felt like it was running at kilobit speed. so youtube is mayyybe 144p to get it to play smooth. Tho those where the only downsides!

Rustic Getaway
Although very rustic, the setting for this bunk house provided calmness and serenity on well-landscaped grounds overlooking Minto Brown protected waterway, always great to see the egrets and ducks enjoying themselves too. Very quiet getaway. Hostess always available to contact. Great directions.

Lovely spot!
This is a lovely little hideaway! I may have hit their fall colors at their peak but no matter….the view out the front bay window was just beautiful! The bunkhouse itself is comfortable - a perfect spot to hunker down after a busy day.

The grounds around the property are really beautiful. I had a quite and peaceful stay here. The drive into town is short and easy, and the host was very helpful with directions and arrival instructions.

Private location away from the city but just a 5-minute drive to downtown Salem and good restaurants and shopping. Never saw the property owner but she was in contact via email or text throughout the booking process and stay. Directions were great. Highly recommend.

Great for a solo trip
I went here for a personal work retreat and it was for the most part pretty good. The only thing that was a bummer was that the WiFi didn’t work all weekend. It was probably for the best since I was working and didn’t need it that much. However if you list that the rental has WiFi it should work. The property manger tried to help me out and finally was able to connect but it still would not work. Also another strange thing was that this unit didn’t come with blinds or currents. I was secluded so that didn’t matter all the much except when I was woken up by the sun each day.

Incredible grounds!
I can't say enough about the beauty and peacefulness of this property! Truly a wonderful spot to unplug and relax. Usually I have sleep issues, I slept wonderfully both nights! The portable AC unit kept the room perfect temperature, the mattress was wonderful, and again, the grounds are frankly magical! The only thing I'd change is the lighting is not very bright, and as two grandmas we enjoy cards or knitting in the evening which was difficult with the low lighting. Look forward to staying again!

I would recommend arriving in day light as it was a little tricky to find. Beautiful, restful, quaint spot to renew your spirit. Magical grounds to wander. Great restaurant within a half mile....highly recommend Whiskey Brown's Farmhouse Kitchen.

BirthDay get away. I had a couple days off and wanted to spend it in a quite place.
This lil place was perfect. It was beautiful and quite. I can say this place is perfect if you are wanting to get away from the city noise. It’s convenient cause it’s not too far to town fir food. The owners live on the property as well, but out of the 2 days we were there I only seen her once. I will definitely stay here again.

Quarantine stay
It was a beautiful little farm. The bunkhouse was comfortable and had most of what anyone could need... with the exception of winter guests. There is a nice patio table and chairs out on the deck for use in the nicer weather... but in winter months and eating inside... it could use a small table and chairs or folding card table/tv trays to use to eat on. I did have a tote, so that served as my table. I did bring a toaster along, but Angela said that would be something to ad in the future. Angela was awesome to work with...she answered all my questions and was so friendly, nice and caring! I never did get my confirmation email after I sent in my ID as requested. I was quarantining there for my trip here to spend time with my family. Very relaxing accommodations. Thanks!

Natural beauty and quiet
This property met my needs perfectly as I isolated after my flight during the pandemic. I could stay apart but be outdoors while I waited for my family visit to begin. There was always something happening out the bay window with all the little animals even on rainy days. The owner is friendly and welcoming. The property manager is great to work with. Thank you.

Rustic Cabin
We spent 2 nights at this property. Great location close to down town Salem but 'out in the country' feel. Private and quiet with a gated entry so felt very secure. There is a house opposite so it is not isolated. Very rustic but with a comfortable bed and great shower. Lots of books to read and even movies to watch on the VHS/DVD TV/Player. Overall very clean however the cobwebs and spiders in the corners maybe carried the Rustic look too far. Coffee was great and the fridge and microwave very handy. However the freezer part needs defrosted badly. All in all very nice and met our minimal needs nicely.

Beautiful location
We stayed for a long weekend in June. The grounds around the room are lovely. The room itself was very cozy and reminded me of a cabin in northern Minnesota. This is a great place to stay while exploring the wine country, the coast or even getting into the mountains. Property manager Angela was wonderful and very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
