Not a safe reservation
Heather canceled our reservation 30 minutes before check In time and only because we texted her for the code to get in. She said: “Um…my apologies…I’m not quite sure how this happened but the house isn’t available this week…I had it blocked off for my family’s personal use“ This was for a family reunion at Xmas that we booked months in advance. We had out of state family attending and had paid for the rental in full. We had communicated back and forth with her in advance specifically to confirm that our plans worked for her. We had to scramble to find hotels for all the out of state guests right before Christmas. The whole thing was insanely unprofessional and caused us a lot of stress and expense.

My Family Gathering in July
This venue is a great place to have a family gathering or a group of friends. The place really lives up to the beauty and luxury that is shown in the photos on the listing. It is very spacious and inviting and also well-stocked with toys and entertainment for both adults and young kids. We had nine children attend, from 2 months to 12 years old. The pool is warm and pleasant in July, with a good array of pool float-ables and a diving board. The kitchen is well-stocked with utensils and cookware; I was able to find most of what I looked for in the kitchen during the weekend—more than I would expect! The host is quick to respond to questions and requests. I invited friends and family from both Davis and the East Bay, and they found the place easy to get to and back again in a day. The drive from Berkeley is about an hour. The hot tub is huge and relaxing. I could set it at 104, which is the temperature I like. The gardens and grounds are beautiful. I give the place a big thumbs up!

A little underwhelming
The property listing said it had room for 10. We had six adults (3 couples) and expected 3 bedrooms, but that third space no longer had a pullout couch no one warned us about, and is not at all like a bedroom in terms of space, getting dark at night, or privacy at all with several windows and sliding doors into the kitchen. When we got there we found a garbage bag full of trash inside the door for me to take out. I also never received a code so I had to call the owner day off to figure out how to get in. I’m teens if cleanliness the house inside was mostly fine. Our shower window ledge had a dead flu with ants all over it on it.

Our stay in Winters
I booked this house for two nights for me, my partner, and some family members, because it was located near my wedding venue. The owner, Heather, lives on the property, which was not disclosed in the listing. This resulted in a lack of privacy, and she came to the house unannounced several times. Upon arrival, we found that the house only had two bedrooms instead of the advertised three, forcing two of my family members to sleep on an air mattress. On the second day, Heather double-booked us, and another family arrived at the pool with birthday decorations and food, showing us their booking confirmation on their phone. We were uncomfortable sharing the space because we thought we had booked the entire property. Later that evening, on the night of our wedding, some family members came to help us unload everything from our wedding venue. Heather approached us, saying that we had too many cars parked outside and everyone needed to leave. Despite our attempts to reason with her, we decided to look for another place to stay and asked for a refund. Overall, we did not have a good experience at this property, which had a negative impact on our wedding weekend.

Cute house in the country
The house is very nicely decorated, and has a lot of great amenities. With the pool, hot tub, pool table and many other games there is a lot to do. Our only complaint is, the listing did not make it clear that this is actually a two bedroom and you can use the game room as a third bedroom with an air bed. Because we were three adult couples, one couple got the short end of the stick and had to sleep on the air bed. If I had known that, I would not have booked this property for this group. The two actual bedrooms were very comfortable so if we were 4 adults with kids it would not have been an issue. Other than that, our stay was great and we really enjoyed the outside seating areas.

Beautiful spot!
Beautiful house situated on an operating nut farm in a rural and tranquil area ... lots of birds, beautiful rose gardens, inviting pool, TONS of space and very well thought out. We enjoyed our stay very much and Heather was delightful and helpful. Shawn

The house was amazing! Everything was in working order and in swell condition. The host was very friendly, and we especially enjoyed the spacious outdoor fireplace, as well as the massive hot tub. Overall it was a very exiting and relaxing stay.

Wonderful Country Getaway
We completely enjoyed our stay at this farmhouse! Coming from out of state, we chose it as a central area for our adult children to join us for Christmas. The common rooms- kitchen, dining room, family room, game room- were perfect for having our family get together for Christmas. The kitchen is very spacious and had everything we needed to make a special dinner. The game room is a fun gathering place for playing pool. We spent a lot of time watching football on the HUGE tv in the family room lounging on the comfortable furniture. We didn't use the pool/outdoor kitchen because it was too cold outside at the time. If we are ever looking to stay in the area again, we will certainly look this place up!
