The Spanish River Hideaway

Escape to your own private slice of Northern Ontario at this peaceful waterfront cottage on the Spanish River - an incredible fishing spot for walleye, pike, and muskie. This is an angler’s perfect getaway! Surrounded by trees and open space, it’s a scenic retreat for friends, families, and couples to relax, recharge, and enjoy calm river views from the bright sunroom.

The Hideaway is well suited for families, couples, and group getaways in Northern Ontario. The cottage offers dedicated bed space for up to eight guests, with a total capacity of twelve. Groups larger than eight are welcome, but guests beyond the available bed space will need to bring their own air mattress or cot for additional sleeping arrangements.

The cottage includes three bedrooms. Two bedrooms each feature a king-size bed, providing comfortable and private sleeping spaces ideal for couples or adults. The third bedroom is set up with four twin beds, making it a great option for children or groups sharing a room. Bed sheets and pillows are provided for all bedrooms; however, guests are asked to bring their own blankets for sleeping comfort.

There are two full bathrooms. One bathroom includes both a shower and a bathtub, while the other features a standalone shower. Both bathrooms are stocked with fresh towels and are set up to comfortably serve groups during longer stays.

Inside, the living spaces are warm and inviting, with an indoor fireplace that makes the cottage especially cozy during cooler evenings. The kitchen is fully functional and suitable for preparing meals for families or groups, with ample space for dining together and enjoying shared meals.

Outdoors, guests can take advantage of a BBQ for cooking, an firepit for evenings by the fire, and a horseshoe pit for some friendly competition. A public boat launch is conveniently located just 200 metres away, making it easy to access the river for boating, fishing, or exploring the surrounding waterways.
