During my stay, I found drug paraphernalia mixed in with candy and trash on the floor of my room. I picked it up quietly and did not raise an issue until after I had checked out, and I spoke respectfully about it.
The acting manager later called me and said she did not find anything and implied she didn’t know what I was referring to. I returned to the property, where she watched me retrieve the item from the trash without any concern for my safety. After I showed it to her, she said she would call the police, which made the situation feel unnecessarily escalated and uncomfortable.
I was traveling alone, was quiet during my stay, checked out early at 8:00 a.m., and had my dog with me. The way this was handled felt unprofessional and dismissive. A situation involving potential safety concerns should be taken seriously and handled with care and respect.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend staying here.
