Luxe All-Season Solitude 5th Wheel at Northern Nights Campground, Higgins Lake

In between your Higgins Lake off-road trail riding, boating, hunting, fishing, cross country skiing or racing, unwind at Northern Nights Family Campground in this all-seasons 5th wheel in comfort and good company. This Solitude by Grand Design 5th Wheel has four slide-outs to comfortably sleep up to 9 people. With a floor-to-ceiling pantry, full size gas stove, oven, air fryer microwave, and double-door fridge and freezer, you don't need to go slim on your groceries and food prep. Wash and prep meals on a spacious kitchen island with a double-basin sink. Help yourself to fully-stocked cupboards of dishes, cups, bowls, serving ware, disposables/plasticware, pots and pans, towels, utensils, food storage bags/containers, coffee pot and tea kettle.

Freshen up in Northern Nights Family Campground's bath house, or the Solitude's spacious full bathroom with a big shower and steamy hot water, no matter the season (thanks to its heated and insulated all-seasons water tank system). ((ONLY human waste and the camper-safe toilet paper provided for you may be flushed down the toilet. Fees will apply if we discover the black tank contains anything else at check-out.))

Outdoors, two awnings open above a full-length bi-level deck with patio seating and picnic table. Just off the deck, enjoy the fire pit and charcoal grill for outdoor cooking and s'mores. Folding chairs, pokers, hobo pie makers, and grill supplies are ready for you in the spacious underside storage compartment. Use this lockable storage compartment for your toy or equipment storage. Firewood can be pre-ordered for your stay, courtesy of the campground.

Camp central to many of Higgins Lake's most popular attractions, including North and South Higgins Lake South State Parks, Cross Country Ski Headquarters, Higgins Lake Trailhead, Marl Lake Trails, Sports Barn and a multitude of shops in Downtown Roscommon.

Two parking spots available at the entrance of the lot. Parking for pontoons, side-by-sides, or additional vehicles can be negotiated in separate reserved parking areas of the campground.

Water, 14 gallons of propane, and electricity are included with your stay. Additional propane is at your expense, and can be refilled at the local Gilroy's, Dankerts Feed Store, or the East Higgins Lake True Value Hardware.

No pets permitted.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING CAMPGROUND RULES AS A GUEST AT NORTHERN NIGHTS FAMILY CAMPGROUND:

As a guest at Northern Nights Family Campground, you are expected to abide by campground rules, as follows:

CHECKING IN AND OUT
• Check-In Time: 3:00 PM
• Check-Out Time: 11:00 AM (late check-outs may incur fees)
• No Check-Ins After 10:00 PM: May require special instructions or result in forfeiting the night’s stay. If no contact is made, the site may be reopened.

FIREWOOD & CAMPFIRES
Only campground-provided firewood is allowed (insects prevention).

• 1 bundle – $7
• Weekender (50+ pieces) – $30
• Seasonal (100+ pieces) – $50

• Order via text/call or online check-in; all wood is delivered.
• Firewood may also be gathered from campground woods—only wood under 5" diameter, already on the ground.
• No cutting/breaking limbs from trees or bushes.
• Campfires only in fire rings.

ELECTRICITY
Stays of 1 week or more: metered and billed.
This promotes energy efficiency and reduces waste.

PARK ETIQUETTE AND SAFETY
• Speed Limit: 5 MPH for all vehicles (including children’s electric vehicles) to protect kids and reduce dust.
• Quiet Hours: 11:00 PM – 8:00 AM (strictly enforced)
• Wind-Down Hour: Starts at 10:00 PM—lights/music lowered or off by 11:00 PM.
• No loud radios anytime.
• Respect others’ space: No walking, running, or biking through occupied sites.
• No bike riding or playground play after dark.

SITE & GUEST LIMITS
• 1 camping unit per site
• Max occupancy: 6 adults + up to 5 children/grandchildren
• Up to 2 motor vehicles, 1 picnic table, 1 electric outlet
• Max of 2 ORVs or 1 boat + 1 ORV allowed; no extra trailers on sites (storage fees apply)
• NO PARKING BOATS ON SITES
• Visitors:

•••No fee for day visitors unless using showers
•••All visitors must leave by 10:00 PM
•••Overnight guests incur a fee

RESTROOMS & FACILITIES
• Codes for bathrooms, showers, dump station, and potable water are in your confirmation email.
• Kindly flush only human waste and toilet paper.
• No wipes, feminine products, or other items—even if they say “flushable.” These can clog our system and may result in a plumbing charge to your site.
• Restrooms closed for cleaning ~10:00 AM & 8:00 PM.
• Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult.

PROHIBITED ITEMS & CONDUCT
• No fireworks, firearms, or explosives
• Cannabis use allowed only within your site or RV; no excessive smoke/odor affecting others
• No smoking in common areas
• Excessive intoxication or disruptive behavior will result in removal

WASTE DISPOSAL
• Place garbage in dumpster (break down boxes) at park exit
• No garbage in fire rings
• Returnable cans/bottles in bin by dumpster


DAMAGE POLICY
You break it, you buy it — full replacement and/or repair costs apply for any damage caused to campground property, facilities, or equipment.

PRIVATE PROPERTY
Mobile home & house lots are private—no trespassing.

LIABILITY WAIVER & HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
By entering and/or staying at Northern Nights Campground, all guests, visitors, and occupants agree to assume full responsibility for their own safety and the safety of any minors in their care. This includes, but is not limited to, all risks associated with camping, outdoor activities, wildlife, natural terrain, campfires, water usage, weather conditions, other guests’ actions, and use of any campground facilities or equipment.

Guests hereby waive, release, and discharge Northern Nights Campground, its owners, staff, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of any damage, loss, injury, illness, or death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, during their stay.

Guests agree to hold harmless and indemnify Northern Nights Campground from any such claims, including those made by third parties, minors, or pets under the guest’s supervision.

By proceeding with check-in, guests acknowledge they have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to this waiver as a condition of entry and stay.

All campground rules, policies, and terms—including site assignments, rates, and amenities—are subject to change at any time without notice to ensure the best possible guest experience and campground operation.
