Hoteller nær Rokuzan kunstmuseum

«I was pretty shocked with how highly reviewed this hotel is. Like other reviewers, it seems like if you are Japanese, you get treated better (they offered right next to us the face mask amenities but not us). The room was “clean” but not. The tv/ac remote controls were clearly never cleaned well (buildup along the edges of the buttons). The bathroom had mold around the tub seal and on the floor, that could easily be cleaned with cleaning products. Plus there were bugs along the ceiling wall. ...

«I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The man running the place was helpful, and kind. He got up at 3am to help the people leaving for a mountain journey, everyday that I was there. He also did some praying around 5:30am, so if you're not ready for that it can be a bit surprising to wake up to lol. But overall it was lovely, and I will think of this place the next time I'm in Azumino. It is far out of town tho, so keep that in mind!»

«Hotel is really old and the bathroom is minuscule. Staff really tried their best to be helpful but it was really hard to communicate with them»

«It was a bit funky place, but it was spacious for 4 people. The sink in the bathroom was so tiny that I had to use the kitchen sink to do the normal stuff. There aren't any stores around, and it was a 10-minute walk to the nearest convenience store. If not driving, it is not a very convenient location, but it is walkable to/from the JR Toyoshina station. I didn't think it was worth the cost (about $300 for 1 night), but it was during the mid-August travel time in Japan.»
