Lakefront Sunsets and Sandy Beach in Rockford, MI

Bostwick Lake is a Sandy bottom 218 acre all sports lake. Here, you will find our vacation home with over 3500 ft² of furnished luxury, with breath taking lake views from almost every window. Featuring 4 bedrooms 3.5 baths, you'll have room for everyone!
The main floor has an open concept with a generous living room with a gas fireplace, large screen TV, and plenty of seating. The living area flows to a generously sized, well-appointed kitchen and formal dining room with sliders out to a furnished deck. The main floor also holds a beautiful primary suite with a king bed, walk-in closet, and primary bath featuring a whirlpool tub and walk-in shower. There is also a main floor laundry and an additional half bath at front entry.
The upper level features 2 additional bedrooms, one with an adjustable king bed and the other with 2 twin beds, a full bathroom, and a dedicated workspace. All the bedrooms offer plenty of storage.
From here, you can walk straight out to the furnished patio and the lake. Fish from the dock, swim, float, play in the sand, and soak up the sun! Evenings are a perfect time to gather outside around the gas fireplace and enjoy the amazing sunsets!
For added security, there is a ring doorbell on the entrance of the home, a camera on the downstairs entry door, and a camera on the outside mechanical door.
Rent includes the use of the 3 kayaks. Also included are life jackets and towels for all! There is also a 21" Bennington pontoon boat with 50 horse power motor, available to rent.
Rental is a 7 day minimum, Saturday to Saturday from, June 14th thru August 16th. Other dates are a 4 day minimum.
***PLEASE NOTE: No pets, bachelor/bachelorette parties, weddings, family reunions, or events allowed. No exceptions.*** There is a limit of 10 people allowed on the property. ***

Overall excellent place to stay! There were 6 adults and 3 kids with plenty of space and seating. The basement has its own living room and kitchen, and we turned the basement into the “kids zone.” The water was shallow, good for little kids. Not too far from downtown Rockford or Grand Rapids which was nice since we had some bad weather. The only thing I would say is that there are a lot of steps, so i would not recommend for people who cant do steps. Otherwise I would recommend and would definitely go back!

Wonderful Get-away!

Warning: if you have other things to do such as a family wedding (like we did) you may find yourself not wanting to leave! The house is so gorgeous & comfortable it lended itself to some fantastic family memories! Thank you!

Fantastic!

We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful home on the lake. It was just two us this time however this home could facilitate more than one family. The lake front is beautiful and our host was incredible. One if the better vrbo properties we’ve visited.

The Lake House you’ve Always Wanted

We don’t own a Lake House, but if we did it would be just like this one! It had all the bells and whistles that you could possibly want. It was cleaned well before we arrived. It had beautiful views of the lake and even an option to rent a nice pontoon boat (which we did!). The kitchen is well stocked and all the bedrooms were comfortable and clean. Decor is updated and say “lake house”. Great location— you will love it!

Family reunion

We had a wonderful week at the lake. This is a large house with all the amenities and a great location on a beautiful lake. House has all the toys you need to enjoy the water as well as a beautiful home and property to gather and enjoy time together. With its close proximity to GRR airport this is a perfect gathering spot for friends and families from around the country to gather and spend a relaxing and fun time together. Julie is a wonderful host who is a text or call away to answer any questions or provide great recommendations or assistance.

Lovely property; disappointed with the details

The lake is beautiful and the house is lovely. However, we were a bit disappointed with the day to day details of living at this property. The advertised main floor laundry was unavailable ("waiting for parts" owner said) so we were "allowed" to use the basement washer/dryer. That was quite inconvenient for daily laundry for a large group. It turned cold during our stay and when we asked how to get the advertised gas fireplaces to work the reply was "it would not lite the last time we tried it. I have put three different controllers in there. Might be time to get a different fire place". Obviously the owner knew in advance we would not be able to use the laundry or the fireplaces... but charged us full price for the stay. In addition, the upstairs bathtub/shower was plugged and is in need of maintenance. We moved a floor lamp in the living room so it could be plugged into a socket that worked. Again, the house itself has a wonderful layout and it was perfect for our multi-family situation. The lakefront is right out the back door and we were fortunate to have several days with beautiful weather where we could sit outside and enjoy the lake and the view. That aspect was 5 star! Rockford is a nice little town and we could find everything we needed at the Meijer's store there. I highly recommend it. Overall, the stay was very pleasant. It's too bad we encountered a few too many disappointments with the practicals; I feel a bit resentful of paying the price we did.

Vacation home

It was a great location, Great Lake, lots to do in the water, Many kitchen utensils, etc. It was a large home that could hold 2 families comfortably. It was a little warm in the upstairs bedrooms, but discussed with Julie and she said she will look into ways to make it cooler on the 2nd floor.

A NEW FAMILY FAVORITE!

My family and I have been renting different lake properties for our summer getaway for the past 5 years and so far this was our absolute favorite! All children in the family are under the age of 5 so a walk-in with a sandy beach was huge for us. The beach area was well maintained and was even beautifully raked upon our arrival. Also, the lake was shallow enough and very clean all the way out to the end of the dock. We had such a blast playing in the water with the kids, and it was even shallow enough where we could even just relax and watch from the shore. The house and property itself was also immaculate. We truly felt at home here and we wish we could have stayed longer! Julie was absolutely fantastic! The communication was great, she was always available and helpful with anything we might have needed. We actually left a pair of glasses and she even shipped them back for us. Truly such a sweet and wonderful woman. We would absolutely rent here again! If you are between a few properties, choose this one, you won’t regret it!

Perfect vacation

Julie's home is beautiful and has everything you could ever want in a vacation home. The kids were in the water most of the day, the shallow depth was perfect for them. As for the adults, we had so many places to relax - the deck, the beach, the fire pit, and the floating lounge chairs. Other than getting our groceries, we rarely left the property, we had such a great time. I highly recommend Julie's home!

4 generations

4 generations (88 years-2 months) gathered and completely enjoyed our week in this lovely home. We only left to go to the grocery store. Adults and children loved the indoor and outdoor spaces. Tubing, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, playing at the beach, roasting marshmallows, daily walks around the lake, evening pontoon cruises and nightly Scrabble games around the dining table made for very special memories. We did not turn on a TV even once!

Perfect Lakefront Getaway for an Unforgettable Family Vacation

We had the pleasure of staying at this lake house for a week and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The cleanliness of the house was impeccable, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Kids loved the fresh plate of cookies when we arrived. The spacious and cozy interior with its beautiful decor provided ample room for our family to relax and unwind. The large windows offered breathtaking lake views from almost every room, adding to the charm. The fully equipped kitchen and with spices, coffee and condiments made meal preparation a breeze. Our highlight of our stay was the lake itself. The private dock provided easy access, and we spent hours swimming, kayaking, boat rides around the lake, fishing, and enjoying the water. The provided water toys and games added to the fun. The owners' exceptional hospitality and prompt communication made the entire experience seamless. They truly cared about ensuring we had a memorable stay. They had everything we needed, including a crib, highchair and baby gate for our little one. In conclusion, our family had an amazing time at this lake house. The cleanliness, picturesque surroundings, and wonderful amenities exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this rental for a peaceful and rejuvenating retreat where you can create unforgettable memories with your loved ones. We're already dreaming of our next visit. Thanks again for everything!!

Our Favorite Vacation Home!

Our family of 6 stayed here and absolutely loved it! Our kids 7, 7, 5 and 2 had a blast in the beach area playing with the toys that were at the house (definitely don't need to bring any from home). The water was shallow enough for our kids to walk to the end of the dock which made it perfect for them to play safely. We were also able to catch plenty of large mouth bass right from the dock as well! The house itself was beautiful. All of us agreed that it was the nicest home we've ever rented out and there was never a moment (even on a rainy day that kept us inside the whole time) that any of the kids said they were bored or wanted to go home - which was a first :)

Highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful lakehouse! The place, inside and out, was immaculate. The main family room has a fabulous stone fireplace and a great view of the lake. The modern kitchen has everything you need, with plenty of counter space and cabinets. The master bedroom, with a nice king bed, also has a good view of the lake and a private balcony. We did not use the lower floor, but it is perfect for a couple who might want privacy. We spent most of our time outside. Many places to relax: a shady porch and dining table, a grouping of Adirondack chairs around a gas fire pit, and a small sandy beach area with lounge chairs. Paddleboards and kayaks were a bonus too. And there is a really nice boat at their dock that we rented for 3 days. Well worth it! The lake is clean and easy to negotiate and the Bostwick Inn, which you can boat to, walk to, or drive to, has good food and atmosphere. I can't say enough good things about this lake house. Julie, the owner, has thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable.

Wonderful family vacation on the lake

Everything about this house met or exceeded the description and our expectations. The house was perfect for our family vacation. Everything that we needed was provided. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards, sitting in the back yard roasting marshmallows in the evening, having Morning coffee on the balcony. If we had any questions the owner responded immediately and was very pleasant. We would definitely do it again.

The house was beautiful and just as described! We have started MANY places and this home greatly surpassed our other experiences. We completely enjoyed our time on the lovely deck and beach. Summer vacation 2022

This property was one of the best our family has rented. The house was very comfortable just like home. The house was beautiful, had comfortable beds, was very clean, and had everything we needed. We relaxed and enjoyed our time with family. The beach was great for our grandchildren. We all enjoyed swimming, fishing, and the pontoon. The area was quiet, close to many restaurants, and the neighbors were very friendly. Rockford was nice, we went for ice cream at Rockies.The upper deck was wonderful for eating outside. We all had a great time. Thank you Julie for everything!

Relaxing lake views and water fun

We absolutely LOVED this house! The deck and backyard setup is perfect for families with little ones, you can sit at the deck or down by the water and watch them play while you relax and soak up the sun. The water at the shore is also very shallow, which made for lots of fun for the kids. We had a 3, 4 and 5 year old that could play comfortably all the way out to the end of the dock! The floor plan is also great, lots of open spaces to hang out together without feeling crowded and on top of each other. Fishing at lake Bostwick was also really fun, my son caught a handful of fish out on the canoe and we even caught a nice large mouth bass from the shore. Julie did an amazing job setting up the house and left us wishing we could stay longer. Also, the neighbor to the right of the house (if you are looking out towards to water) was super friendly and helpful as we weren’t too familiar with the area. We would definitely stay again!
