I would say we did NOT see any bugs so that’s the most important thing but was not a great experience. Bathroom light was burnt out, no shampoo or conditioner in the large jugs in the shower and of course did not know this until already in the shower. Housekeeping came at 10am to clean claiming we had already checked out and obviously we had not. Elevator was dirty and not cleaned at all in the time we were there based on the same garbage on the floor. Breakfast was small and not worth it. Personally probably not ever stay again.

Everything was good. Staff we're friendly and helpful. Just an incidental comment, the digital key in the Hilton honors phone app only worked 3 out of the 20 times I tried it.

The staff was lovely and the rooms were nice. There was no shampoo in the bottle and the tub drained slowly. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

I visit the area often and I do like this property, however, this past trip left me feeling “meh”. I had called the front desk in plenty time to advise that we would be a late check-in as our flight was delayed. Coming from the West coast-our journey was long to say the least. We arrived at the hotel around 12:30 am and had to wait literally more than 20 minutes to be let in the lobby! I understand the night shift needing the occasional break, but to be left waiting in the foyer without even a response on the intercom was disappointing. Once at reception, I was greeted with attitude as if I had interrupted or inconvenienced the clerk. Hoping for a better experience on the next one…

This hotel is dirty and rundown. Shower curtain fell on me while in the shower. Dark out curtain fell off. Bathroom was not clean. Rug near desk was soaking wet with some dark nasty stuff. The front desk staff did not know how to check us in, took 20 minutes. Wondering why Expedia would recommend this dump.

I entered with a service dog, vested, leashed, and labeled. I was charged an incidental fee upfront and was told by an employee that I was not allowed to enter the breakfast area where there was food. When I explained this was a service dog, I was still told it didn't matter and was not allowed to get food. Both of these are violations of federal law, through the ADA. "People with disabilities who use service animals cannot be isolated from other patrons, treated less favorably than other patrons, or charged fees that are not charged to other patrons without animals. In addition, if a business requires a deposit or fee to be paid by patrons with pets, it must waive the charge for service animal". "Establishments that sell or prepare food must generally allow service animals in public areas even if state or local health codes prohibit animals on the premises". -ADA.gov

Need better lighting in room
The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The room was dark. It only had 2 bedside lamps and a very white desk lamp. The coolness of the light coming out of the desk lamp was too offensive to leave on for any long period of time. Even with it on I needed a flashlight to find things in my bag.

Nice hotel close to Hospital
Very convenient to Rochester General Hospital - less than a mile away. The check in process was easy - just disappointed I couldn't get a discount while I was there for my dad's heart surgery. Also, didn't like that I had to pay more than what I was told via the app. The girl said "incidental" charges are added in. That was not expected & I was very annoyed.

just an okay saty
After 4 rooms I was able to settle into my room for the stay. from door that wouldn't open easily or lock, to the next room that had no lock in place. The next room (third) the heater fan was clanging and loud. The GM was very helpful and professional in his actions. Offered NO discount or offset. The food was great and excellent variety. The entire staff was great and pros.

Good property, good staff
This property is solid. Staff was very friendly. The only negatives were check in took way too long (but the staff member was very professional and friendly), and the pool temperature was a little cooler that I would have liked Other than that the place was clean and comfortable. The location is excellent.

Did not get the room I booked!
Front desk sent us to my handicapped king-bed room, but the bed was stripped and not made up. Rather than make up the room we wanted, which had a roll-in shower, we were sent to a room with a tub and two queen beds. And to top it off, there was a cockroach crawling around the sink. Very disappointing.

I am sorry you had to deal with a foul odour during your stay with us. That is not the standards we hold ourselves to and we will be touching base on room ventilation with our staff. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, unfortunately we are a pet friendly hotel, so these kinds of smells stick around often. However, we will improve our efforts to ensure all rooms smell fresh and clean prior to your arrival. We are sincerely sorry about this, but we hope to have the opportunity to see you again in the future.

The hotel was being renovated, which I was not made aware of before my stay (and should have been! I would have stayed elsewhere if I had known). Therefore, the one day I decided to sleep in, someone banged on my door and started to immediately barge in, without my having time to answer the door and make sure I was dressed. Luckily I had the bolt on the door. Additionally, the fire alarm kept going off early in the morning in the hallways. The food in the complementary breakfast was awful. The fruot was clearly rotten, and much of the other food was either undercooked or burnt. I wish I had stayed elsewhere

Additionally, we utilize our staff and cameras for surveillance available 24hrs. We do not allow outside guests inside hotel rooms. We do everything we can to ensure our guests are safe and secure. The room was nice and clean. I had very limited interaction with staff but what I did have was pleasant. My only issue was that the mini fridge in my room was SO loud when it kicked on. It woke me up each time. There was also a guest who was knocking extremely loud and continuously on a door in the hall a 1:30 in the morning so that wasn't pleasant but the hotel itself was nice for a quick stop over, over nigh stay.

Clean, quiet, ample parking. The real star was Rashad the night clerk who helped replace something in our room ASAP. Friendly and personable, he was a pleasure. (And go have dinner at the Italian place next door! You won’t be disappointed!)

Disappointing
The bathroom was dark with no working ceiling light or vent fan. The bedding was old and I was concerned about its cleanliness. The coffee and breakfast was of no use to us due to poor quality and taste. We always choose Hampton Inns and these problems haven’t happened at other locations we’ve tried.
