Welcome to Cabins in the Clouds!



This beautiful land features five private cabins, this listing is for cabin 3 (The Loose Moose Cabin). On the property, you will find a fire pit and a covered gazebo. You will find adventure, local attractions, and a peaceful environment all right outside of your cabin porch! Once inside The Loose Moose, you will find comfort, fun, and relaxation for everyone! Through the front doors, you will find a cozy great room featuring a smart TV and fireplace, perfect for movie nights with your entire group. Kick back and unwind on the sofa or outdoor seating while flipping through the pages of a new read. In the mornings, sip your first cup of joe at the lovely dining area, or relax on the cabin's large front porch while basking in nature views. In the fully equipped kitchen prepare your group's favorite recipes with all the necessary appliances. All the comforts of home are offered here, including complimentary wireless Internet access, a DVD player, and a private washer/dryer. Right outside of your front door, you will find a large porch facing the peaceful wooded views. This is also the only cottage at Cloudland Cottages with a private hot tub & grill!



As a hosting family, we strongly believe in making memories wherever you are. That is why we have provided local suggestions so you can enjoy the experience of fully immersing yourself in the local culture. We are here to help with any questions or suggestions as we aim to create memories through Unique Stays!

Cabin is located in a very scenic area atop the mountain. Nice cozy cabin , sleeps 6 comfortably. Deck in the back was great and fire pits outside were great for sitting out in the evenings. Host communicated things great also! Would stay again. Thanks!

Host was welcoming and communicated frequently. Place was worn down, kitchen utensils were lacking, pillows where old/dirty, furniture old and stained, hot tub never reached warm tempatures. No smoke detector in upstairs, but manangement put one in immediately after I contacted them.Fun location in the mountains, with some TLC, this cabin could be amazing.

We really enjoyed the hot tub! However, we encountered issues on our stay. When booking this place, be aware that the listing will say only for 2 people even though it has accommodations for 6, and you will be charged extra per extra person (after the initial 2 people) that you book for. The beds were uncomfortable and the couches were partially broken on arrival. Make sure to bring dishes and utensils as there were limited.

Very cute cabin in the woods. Nice and clean. The only thing is that the outside pictures need updated, the pond is pretty dried up, and the kitchen is kind of small. Everything else was great and they were prompt to respond. Beautiful area and nice cabins.

Pros: The beds and pillows were comfortable. The linens were fine. Glassware was good. Cute house, nice location.Relatively clean.Cons: The sofas are absolutely awful. We couldn't use the ceiling fan because it looked and sounded like it was going to fall out of the ceiling. The stairs are super slick and since there is no rail on the left side I slipped off the second stair and broke my foot.

They are not comfortable, until you feel like you are home

First and foremost, I will start with the communication from the host . They are 100% available all times of day and night for any questions or concerns . They usually respond within 30 minutes. I had several requests that I asked of them to make myself at home , and thinking that the answer would be NO !!Their response was PLEASE!!. So I really appreciated being able to be comfortable. The place was spacious and clean , it was very private and peaceful.next , let's talk about that hot tub that they have . Well , it's not a hot tub, it's a hot spa. Those jets in there are powerful, and will beat all the soreness out of your body . So be sure to adjust the settings with the nobs if you don't need a beating like I did ..There were quite a few complaints about the front blinds , and indeed , they were in need of replacing , so instead of me complaining, I just replaced them because we had four nights there.. everything in the house works as it should . The showers are hot with lots of hot water. All of the appliances work great , and the back Deck is a place of serene peace .

We enjoyed our stay at the Loose Moose. The cabin was exactly as listed. A few things could use updating. The couches in the living room have seen better days. And the blinds in the living room were broken. The beds were comfy. The cabin was nice and spacious. The hot tub was amazing on a cold night. And the location of the cabin was great.

Checkout Reminders

The property is beautiful and well maintained. My only complaint is the numerous reminders via text message and email reminding me of when we had to checkout. I get some people don't follow instructions but the night before checkout was excessive. My husband and I were trying to enjoy our anniversary and our kids were at home. Checking messages is a necessity when you have kids but to get emails and text messages saying you have until the next morning at 10am to check out made us feel like we should've checked out a day early.

Good location

Sage was a fantastic communicator from start to finish. The furniture definitely needs an upgrade, but that didn’t ruin my trip! Good location and quiet area. Close to amazing canyon views and Cloudland State Park. I felt close to everything but also off the beaten path. The hot tub was a nice perk after long days of walking!

20 year old mattresses!

When we arrived at the property the upstairs bed was unmade and the bathroom was dirty. The downstairs bathroom and wastebasket had the previous tenants hair and trash in it. They did send someone out to clean and it was determined that the downstairs bed had slept in, yet made up as if clean. The mattresses were terrible! The 'Do Not Remove' law tag said 2005! The funiture was VERY VERY well worn. The fabric sofa and loveseat were probably from the early 80's. They were worn out and the sofa sat low and sloped forward. We covered it with a blanket to even sit on it. The blinds were worn out and the windows were filthy. The owner and management company were supposed to get back to us about all of this and did not. The location was fair, the hot tub was the only redeeming factor. I don't recommend this cabin or it's management or owners with the current conditions and the lack of follow through.
