Our flat, "The Gliding Damselfly," is located in the Laguna neighborhood of Buenaventura - the greenest and most tranquil setting in all of Buenaventura. All of Buenaventura is very safe and secure, whether you are walking at night or during the day. With a large laguna at its center, it is easy to walk (and bike) around for kids and adults alike.
The kiddie pool is within easy walking distance with a waterslide, adult pool and community gathering area, kayak and paddleboat dock, mango trees to harvest your breakfast (July - Sept), and a playground. A short walk or shorter drive brings you to the sports club, which has a workout gym, semi-Olympic size pool, sauna, tennis courts, basketball courts, and soccer (football) field (fee required). They give yoga, rhythmic gymnastics, tennis, and swimming classes. Arrangements can be made for private lessons as well. If you come during Panamanian school breaks or summer (Dec - Feb), they also have fantastic kids camps with activities such as horse riding, rock climbing, swimming, and tennis. Buenaventura offers the first "Rafa Nadal Academy" in Panama. If you or your kids are tennis enthusiasts and would like to attend, don't hesitate to contact us for details.
Buenaventura created "The Creating Center" during the pandemic to serve children living there and serve students from 17 countries who are taught using modern methods. If you decide to stay with us for an extended period, don't hesitate to contact us if you would like your children to make use of the center's services.

The Gliding Damselfly is exclusively yours, without interruption for the duration of your stay, so relax, unwind, and make yourself at home. The entire apartment has wide entryways, no stairs, and is easily accessible. It is nestled on the second floor, which you can access with an elevator.
We offer contact-free check-in via a lockbox, so you can check in anytime after the check-in time.

Driving is slow and easy around Buenaventura. One principal road (Avenida Principal) travels parallel to the beach, and several roads branch off the main road, each leading towards the beach. Walking and biking are easy and pleasant in Buenaventura. There are dedicated lanes for biking and walking.
As you already know, The Gliding Damselfly provides free parking.
