Very quiet and secluded! Lots of wildlife!
Our stay was very relaxed, the property is in a nice location, nestled in the woods, with a nice amount of lawn in the front. We enjoyed the wildlife, and explored Luray caverns and some of the Shenandoah mountains. The cabin is very simple, but sufficient, and has essentials, although a cabinet somewhere would have been convenient. Thank you for making our great week possible, it was a blessing!

The name says it all
This cabin was perfect for a spring retreat on my own. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedroom and living room were comfortable. The cabin sits on a beautiful hillside under tall pines, and was quiet and peaceful. I spent the weekend hiking in SNP, cooking, and relaxing at the cabin.

Great Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at this location. It was the perfect distance between Shenandoah National Park and Luray. The cabin and hot tub were perfect to come home to after hiking. I wish that we could have stayed longer. I hope to return soon!!

Just what we needed
The property was just as pictured and well equipped with anything you could've needed. The cookies upon arrival were delicious ( we need the recipe). Even with rainy weather we enjoyed the hot tub and the cabin. There were games to play as well. We enjoyed our weekend away

Tranquility and Solitude
I booked this cabin for a long weekend getaway to attend a wedding with my boyfriend. This cabin is a short drive to Luray, and Shenandoah River State Park. The property is private, and quiet. We enjoyed decompressing in the hot tub and sounds of nature. We would love to return in the future!

Wonderful Getaway!
This is a perfect house in the woods for a couple or to get away by yourself. We took a much needed break from home and the office to go and loved the experience - like qe were the only people around! Cozy, comfortable, and just what we needed.

Great out of the way cabin. BEAUTIFUL view!
This was our second time staying at Solitude. We loved it so much we kept extending our stay. Great hot tub. Very quiet and private. The cabin is very charming and has a lot of what you need. Feels super homey. We loved it as a couples weekend spot and now we love it as a family getaway.

Great Getaway

Awesome stay!
"Solitude" is just what we hoped it would be and more, very relaxing, secluded, and quiet. The cabin was very clean when we arrived and there were also some cookies as a welcome gift which were delicious! The hot tub was awesome and was clean. We will be back in the fall to cruise skyline drive so we can see the fall colors. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place!

Secluded Get Away
My husband and I take a trip with our dog each year. We usually choose a cabin or remote area where we can do some fishing, hiking, trails, etc. This was a great location, close to the Shenandoah River National Park. The cabin is definitely secluded and has a lovely area for fires to enjoy the stillness of the woods and get away from the hustle and bustle of life. The property is in great condition and is well equipped for anything you may need. We will definitely be returning!

From the moment my wife and I arrived, we were captivated by the seamless blend of natural beauty and modern comfort. We really appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect of the cabin's decor, from the charming touches of wood and stone to the well-equipped kitchen that made cooking a breeze. In the morning, we would sit out on the deck sipping our morning coffee while listening to the birdsong. Dereck was a great host. They have created a haven for those seeking a respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Even after our short visit, we left feeling rejuvenated, grateful for the opportunity to experience such a serene retreat. We can't wait to return to this hidden gem in the woods!

Lovely retreat
Very quiet, spacious, very well equipped. Easy access to Skyline drive and Luray. Hiked 8 days, came home to hot tub on porch and watching fireflies in the evening. Lovely part of the country, we will be back.

Great Place Great Stay
This adorable cabin is tucked away from all the noise of city life. My wife and I had a wonderful quiet weekend for her birthday. The cabin itself was very clean and cozy and included updated amenities. We enjoyed the fire pit for s’mores at night and the hot tub after visiting the Luray Caverns nearby. Would love to return!

Solitude is a great little retreat for either individual travelers seeking to recharge their internal battery or a couple wishing to reconnect. Enjoy your morning coffee/tea on the flont porch and let the local family of 🐿 entertain you or breakfast out on the back screened in porch. Dont miss your opportunity to utilize the fire pit while the lightning bugs dance through the trees. And before you head off to bed, enjoy a soak in the hot tub. It truely is a wonderful place.

The absolutely best Vacation!
The cabin is truly named correctly Solitude! We absolutely enjoyed our stay here and will come back again as soon as possible! Don't let the sq ft fool you, the cabins' layout is perfect and feels much bigger than we expected. The bed was super comfortable; the kitchen is well stocked and you really don't need anything. The location is perfect, providing solitude, peace and quiet but still be close enough to towns and attractions. The cabin was so perfect that we didn't want to leave. In fact as soon as we were back home, we started the process of scheduling our next stay. We absolutely loved it here!! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at this absoulutely perfect place!!

Solitude was the perfect cabin for our 25th anniversary weekend getaway! It had everything we needed and we really appreciated the hot tub after our long days of hiking. I could've sat on the front porch all day and just listened to the peaceful sounds of nature. The cabin is in a quiet neighborhood and very secluded. We would definitely stay here again! Two nights in Luray area
We finished our week in VA at this wonderful secluded cabin. The kitchen and cooking facilities were great. We enjoyed the hot tub and were able to use the fire pit. We found a pink lady slipper and mountain laurel blooming! We were in the woods but not far from a grocery store. We went to the Luray Bakery and Catering on Main- not to be missed! Wished we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful Cabin in the Woods!
Solitude exceeded our expectations all around! It was very clean, tidy and the location was secluded and quiet! The hot tub was great and the cabin seemed much roomier than the square footage listed. The many windows let in an amazing amount of light. Lots of nice trails for walking within relevantly short driving distance and Luray was a fun town to visit. We’ll definitely be back soon!
