Wonderful, peaceful mountain eacape
We loved our stay here! Gorgeous place, wonderful views of the mountain and the river, and super peaceful. Only wish we could have stayed longer! Definitely want to come back in the spring or summer to enjoy the river more and build a fire in the fire pit.

Lovely getaway
This spot is really lovely. Not too far from the DC area, but far enough that it’s away from the hustle. Easy drive to a Front Royal. We had the best time just sitting on the screened porch, drinking coffee and talking. The kids kicked around their soccer ball in a little grassy area near the driveway. The cabin itself is the perfect size for our family of 5.

Very secluded and quiet
Nina was at the cabin when we arrived, and showed us how to get to the river. The cabin was very clean and cozy, with plenty of space to unpack and settle in. The cabin is easy to find (just follow Star View Lane all the way to the end), and a short drive away from various attractions. Situated about 15min from Luray/25min from Front Royal, we found gorgeous views, lovely sunsets, and lots of places to hike. Our pup especially loved exploring the farm and river, and relaxing on the porch watching critters in the fields.

Perfect Labor Day Getaway
We had a great stay at this riverfront home! It was so quiet and relaxing, sitting on the porch in the evenings was the best. We enjoyed walking down to the river from the house and the proximity to Luray and Skyline Drive was perfect. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Would recommend to friends!

Amazing Farmhouse with gorgeous views!
We had an amazing time! watching the storms come through the mountains was awesome! The river is crystal clear. The house is cute, and well equipped with all necessities. I would only recommend letting guests know that you will see other people around.

So glad you had a good time. Often folks only see the deer, fox, wildlife and other times people go through the field to get to the river for a dip, to paint, read, bird watch etc. We were thrilled to have a picture sent to us of the Barn Owl we hear but could never see. We love sharing this place full of wildlife. Have a great Fall and thanks for coming!

Home away from home.
We have been regulars at Cedar Point Farm for over 15 years. The riverfront location is perfect for swimming, fishing, canoeing, and sunsets. Peaceful and always rejuvenating. Thank you Nina!

Peaceful retreat
My husband and I live in NY state, my son and daughter in law live in NC. This was a great middle point for us to meet and spend some family time together. We had no idea how much we'd fall in love with the low-key, quiet landscape of this property. We watched deer, bunnies and woodchucks in the hayfields from the huge screened in front porch but our favorite passtime was sitting our chairs in the rushing river water, catching up with some of our favorite people and enjoying the mountain views. We enjoyed having a campfire at night and admiring the evening sky. This property is perfect for relaxation. The beds could use new mattresses but otherwise, we loved the big, old farmhouse. The area offered lots of activities. We spent our days river tubing, touring Luray caverns and a drive on Park Line Drive complete with a short hike...all within minutes of the house. We really appreciated any questions we had being answered quickly too. It was a pleasure spending time there....and we truly hope to make it back.

great river access, needs some more cleaning
The river access, including freshly cut trail through the fields to the river, is hard to beat. It is a beautiful section of river too, with lovely mountain views. The front porch of the house is great to take it all in. Overall the house really needed a deep clean - hard with an old house, but still needed. The mattress in the front bedroom really needs to be replaced.

Great place to relax with family
Nice path to water. We fished and got mostly sun fish and one bass. The porch has a beautiful view of the mountains and lots of nature. The house is older (rustic) and spacious. AC worked great! Wi-Fi is spotty. Overall great place to relax and if you like nature, this place is the spot!

Amazing property with gorgeous views. Perfectly secluded with almost no noise pollution other than an occasional aircraft. The river is beautiful. Great views from the hot tub. House is spacious and has a wonderful large screened porch. Highly recommend

Honeymoon get away
Warm feeling of close to small town but close to bigger shopping if needed. Absolute quite and peace. Very clean and old time farm living. The screened back porch in the morning with the view and coffee was heaven. The only thing the place needed was better light bulbs in some of the ceiling fans but that is so minor. A must stay place if you want peace and quite with total seclusion.

Friends Weekend Escape
The Farmhouse had everything we needed. The pictures do not do it justice. The views are breathtaking. There were so many things to see from the porch, the back deck area, the side fire pit, the fire pit by the river, and just the drive into the property. The total disconnect from civilization was exactly what we were seeking. We brought all our necessities and besides a day of hiking to waterfalls from Skyline Drive we spent our time fishing or I should say catching, tubing, and nights by the fire pits. Morning views with coffee from the hot tub will allow you to see all of the wildlife. Turkeys, deer, birds, fox, groundhogs, and chipmunks. I almost hate to tell people about it, I don’t want to risk it not being available when I am ready to come back! I can’t wait to bring the kids and grandkids!

Great find
We had a wonderful weekend at Cedar Point Farm. The house is larger than appears in the photos and our family of four had plenty of space. The views are gorgeous, the kitchen well-suppplied, and the location is ideal. Highly recommend.

Guys trip
The cabin was awesome. Location, spot on. Drove skyline for the day then came back and had a fire by the river until the early hours of the morning. Other than a few bugs in the home (they were promptly taken care of), the stay was wonderful.

I loved the peace and quiet along with the beautiful views of the mountains from the porch. Uno loved to be off of the leash and run around the fields. He was sooooo happy. we also saw lots of deer and turkey foraging around the open fields. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay...this is it. Not too much to do in the area though.

Great place to escape it all!
This is our second time staying that the farmhouse. It is one of our favorites! We love the serenity and seclusion! The view of the meadow during the day and stars at night is spectacular! Having access to the Shenandoah river is a wonderful perk, too! We went kayaking and horseback riding near by. We will be back very, very soon!

Pro: I picked this house because it was close enough to the river that nobody is in front of you and the NO1 reason was because there were no other houses in sight! It was so nice to be at the river and not see another house, even at the river there was no one, every once and a while we saw someone float down the river. The house was nice and old. It fit our needs just fine. It was joyful to see deer, rabbits and turkey out in the field in front of the house. Con: As I said it is an old house, the inside doors don't shut unless you give them some effort, and you'll hear anyone that wakes up in the middle of the night between the doors and the old floors. but I guess that the charm. There are no steps to get in the river when you first come to the river, you need to walk down the path a while but there is a nice easy walk in at that point. but if you want to watch the kids at the fire, its a little of a negative.

Perfect Hideaway
We absolutely adore the farmhouse!! It's perfectly rustic and hidden away from everything. Our dogs loved running through the fields and relaxing in the lazy river. The smallmouth bass fishing was so unbelievable, we booked another trip for two weeks from now! Nina is an awesome and super friendly host! This will be our new regular spot!!!

Great Family Vacation Spot
This house is ideally located, not only having a great view and the fact that is by the river, but it is also close to many fun things to do. In addition to hanging out at the house and swimming and fishing in the river, we spent time in Shenandoah National Park (25 min away), visited Skyline Caverns (30 min away), Monticello ( 1.5hrs away), Washington D.C. (1.5 hrs away), New Market Battlefield (45 min away), Canoed down the Shenandoah River with Downriver Canoe Company (10 min away), and had a awesome service at Rileysville Baptist Church (5 min away). We would highly recommend the house and we hope to come back soon.

Beautiful, quiet, and relaxing
Our entire family enjoyed our stay at this farmhouse. We fished, swam, walked up and down the river exploring, watched a great Thunderstorm from the screened porch, and visited both Luray and Skyline Caverns. It was our fourth time at Luray and first at Skyline - Skyline was more enjoyable and partly because of the charming tour guide.

Fabulous!
What a great place! Nina was a fabulous host. We really enjoyed this farmhouse with views. We were able to access the river for fishing and had a nice bonfire to makes S’mores by the river at night. We loved the field that the screened-in porch overlooked, especially at night when it was filled with fire flies lighting up the whole farm. We really enjoyed the stars at night as well! Great location and we totally recommend it!

The house is cozy and in a great location. The river is beautiful and we loved the hot tub. There are two fire pits to enjoy as well. We visited Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns while there as both are close by. Thank you to Nina for a fun trip!

Shenandoah Thanksgiving
We enjoyed the charm and beautiful location of the farmhouse, as we gathered for our family Thanksgiving vacation. The owner was attentive with our request to have bed lines and towels provided (for an additional fee), as we wouldn’t have had enough space in our vehicle to bring our own. Our only real complaint was in regards to the beds. They were horrible; especially the bed in the room off the porch. It sank to the middle, the other bed was hard as a rock and the futon was very uncomfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our beautiful “mountain” getaway, despite the sleeping accommodations.

An idyll
We loved our stay in the Farmhouse in Rileyville. The view from the house is stunning — even in the fog or rain! Our kids loved having separate sleeping areas and we enjoyed the view out of our window from our bedroom. The living room with the fire is lovely, although it took us a while to figure out turning on the heaters to warm up the space. We enjoyed the hot tub, which also has the gorgeous view. Our dog loved running free in the meadow and we were glad there was a little walk down to the river for her morning and evening walk. As for activities, we did them all — hiking in the Shenandoah, canoeing down the river, Luray Caverns as well as lots of time reading and watching movies. Note that the house does not have a washer/dryer and the temperature in the mountains is a good ten degrees colder — especially if you do a peak hike! Also, the futon is a full-size. We loved our stay so much we want to come back to spend time there during the Fall to experience the changing leaves!

Relaxing Getaway
The property is beautiful and nicely tucked away for ultimate privacy. The farmhouse was very spacious and charming. We loved to sit on the front, screened-in porch and take in the views. As well as sit in the living room in front of the fireplace. Our family and four legged best friends had a great time exploring the grounds and hanging out by the river. We also conquered a hike in nearby Shenandoah National Park! We loved our stay and highly recommend staying here!
