«Stayed in rm 21. Good bits: Bed was comfortable, hotel pleasantly quirky (as you'd expect from an older (historic) property. Bathroom clean, bedding high quality. Staff were really nice. Polite without being overly friendly. Service speed in hotel and restaurant was spot on. Check in and out was easy. Hotel is right in the middle of the town and convenient for many other attractions. «When we arrived expecting to stay in an annex as per the image on Expedia, we were instead in a room in the main house. We took this up with the proprietor who agreed to cancel with no cost. We took this at face value and stayed elsewhere. On checking our bank account on 24 Sept we saw that we had been charged. We called the property but were told we need to take this up with Expedia. Very disappointed.»
