«Staff upgraded me without permission. And charged me extra. Unfortunately I was unable to understand most of what the clerk said, so I am disputing the charge. Will not return.»

«Floors in main area, elevator and room not clean. No soap in one bathroom main floor, breakfast was poorly stocked. Only one luggage cart and it was not available. Staff was not present at front desk (main lobby empty). »

I would recommend this home to anyone with a reason to stay in Roanoke! We also enjoyed dinner in town. If we weren't busy with other activities, it would have been fun to explore Roanoke more!»

«We thoroughly enjoy our mid-week stay on Big Barbee, with a small group of friends & family. We rented a pontoon from Socks Marina, for early morning fishing at Barbee & Irish Lake. The local restaurants were within walking distance. Thank you so much!»

«Beautiful home! Gorgeous deck. Nicely stocked. Host was great with communication. This home has fantastic views of Shriner lake. The furniture and decor are lovely and classy. We were a bit disappointed to not be able to Use the fire pit because the dock was piled up next to it. That was something we were looking forward to and had purchased s’more ingredients. If traveling with small children bring 2 gates. There are some dangerous stairs. Also - heads up - the master bedroom ...

«This is such a lovely property right on the lake. We loved the large patio and took advantage of the firebowl in the evenings. We also appreciated being able to have our doggies with us. We also like that it's close to two golf courses we enjoy playing. »

«Breakfast is alright. The rooms are okay. Everything is clean. It was a perfectly okay stay. The staff were great, dining was a great experience in terms of service and food quality. For the price of the stay per night, though, it was underwhelming. Not bad, I never had a bad experience.»
