«Not very hacienda style design. Poor food, nothing to do beside being at the pool or in the standard pool. Beach ok to look at, but can't really use it or swim in the sea. Could be anywhere, far from anything resembling the real Costa Rica. Offering extremely expensive transportation to airport, added another 165 usd to the bill for a 45 min drive in the early morning in a worn out Toyota Lancruiser. But beautiful view to the Pacific. And reception did change my room to one with actual sea view ...

Only one comment is that I wish the pool off of lobby was open to teens and not a topless optional pool to give more options instead of the family pool that got a bit crowded. »

«The breakfast was yummy both days that we were there, and the service at the restaurants was top-notch! However, we were disappointed not to have a swimming pool available to use as guests at Santarena Hotel. The rooftop infinity pool was way too small for the number of rooms available. »

«Nice beach access, rooms are clean but nothing fancy. No food on site so breakfast is brought to your room via like fruit, some toast and yogurt so if you aren't a breakfast buffet person it is nice. Older small style but the location is amazing. I would stay again.»

«Vi var 4 voksne som bodde på to rom for å feire nyttår i Tamarindo. Stedet og hotellet var helt topp. Veldig hyggelige eiere og personale som gjerne vil hjelpe til med det man trenger. Bra beliggenhet nærme butikk og og utesteder. Kort vei ned til sentrum og stranda, men likevel langt nok unna til at det er stille på kveldstid. Veldig fint å få servert kaffe ved bassenget på formiddagen. Vi anbefaler WET hotel på det sterkeste og kommer gjerne tilbake om vi skal til Tamarindo igjen.»

«This is a beautiful small boutique style hotel. Everything is on the ground level, which is nice not to have to use an elevator every time you come and go. The pool has a beach style entrance and a deeper area for lap swimming. Its quite and lots of loungers in the shade. The amazing staff is the same few people, so I really got to know/trust them. The restaurant has fresh food and cold drinks! Its the perfect location, 15min drive to a lot of areas and beaches. The room was clean but could use ...

«The two owners are wonderful people! The one can also help arrange tours which was easy and helpful. The pool was nice and the breakfast/lunch bar area was great. Not a bad walk up and down the dirt hill. »

«We had a great stay! We found it quiet and peaceful, and a short walk to the beach and main strip. We loved the daily breakfasts and the pool was a great amenity. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful! The hotel helped us arrange transport to and from the airport, and we booked an excursion as well, which was awesome! Our room was very clean! »
