«Great view of the ocean, beach access just across the lawn, in a peaceful, quiet surrounding with privacy. The studio is smallish but has the essentials, and its terrace is a very nice place to spend time on. The owners are kind, helpful and pleasant to communicate to. Highly recommended for couples who want to unwind on beach outside town, yet not far away from shops/restaurants. »

«This is a true old style Kiwi bach, a bit scruffy and well worn/used. But that is its beauty and authenticity. Staying by the beach in a more remote part of Aotearoa, I do not want a super-swish, Auckland style apartment. The area is stunningly beautiful, especially Whanarua Bay itself. But there seem to be undertones of local conflict over who can fish, how and where. So be careful and sensitive.»
