«The room was comfortable and had more amenities than other places I have stayed in St.Croix. The owners were friendly and helpful. The views were beautiful and the breeze enjoyable in the evening. You do need an all wheel drive vehicle and should definitely arrive while it is still light out. The WiFi was dependable.»

The cottages are very comfortable - we especially enjoyed how we had such easy access to the beach and restaurant yet still felt like you were away from hustle and bustle at the same time. «Very out of the way remote stay, extremely small accommodations, the bed is a converted couch, although clean, air conditioning keeps the room a little cool, the road in is not for the faint hearted, not easy to say the least, property is very old, bathroom light is a pull chain, property says breakfast included, that means you get cereal and milk in your refrigerator, not a sit down meal like all other places! «We extended our stay by 2 nights and needed a place to stay. The Mermaid worked out fine for us (could use a new mattress) and the view was amazing! The owner was great and very easy to work with and replied to us right away. We did not enjoy the ride to get up there, but we were warned about it in the description. You do need an SUV to travel up there. Thanks for the stay!»

It was easy to find the two larger towns on the island and we went to Buck Island. The house could use a little TLC but we also understand it’s location receives a lot of weather, which we loved.
