«The staff was very nice and welcoming. Unfortunately the entire building smells like smoke. The halls and inside our guest room, sheets, towels. Everything was embedded with it. If you are sensitive to cigarette smoke this isn’t the best option. Also the walls were super thin, lots of noise. I hate to leave negative notes, but for health reasons some of you might need this info.»

«Outstanding discovery! Nestled in a very quiet and peaceful historic neighborhood, we felt very secure. The breakfast buffet was more than just your average hotel buffet, and included table service for all but the food line. They also had a very good restaurant / pub on site. Enjoyed reading the history of the property. This will be our go to lodging when we are in the area.»

«Everything was clean and comfortable. The only problem was the empty ice trays in the freezer. But we made a quick ice run to a convenience store nearby so it was fine. We would stay again if ever back in the area.»

«We had an amazing week at Backroads and Barrels! The house is centrally located, which is one reason we loved it so much. We did daily excursions to different parts of the state (ie Louisville, Lexington, Mammoth Cave, Red River Gorge, Versailles, etc). The house itself was everything we could’ve hoped! «This is a VERY cute cabin, that looks and feels new! Plenty of parking was available, and the hot tub on the back deck was nice to have. The interior is nice, clean, and a very homey atmosphere. All appliances were in great condition, and there were plenty of pots & pans. «We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage/log home. The home was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the hot tub was clean, relaxing, and inviting after a long day at the ballpark.
