«Andy and Gretel have made the Customs house into an amazing place to stay. We stayed in the Policeman's apartment and on arrival realized right away that we'd made a mistake to book only one night - we should have booked several just for the experience of staying in this house longer! The house is directly across from the harbor inside the breakwater. Port McDonnell is small and quaint and a good base for exploring the Limestone Coast. «I don't want to be mean because the staff were very helpful and pleasant but the room we stayed in was awful. It had a musty damp smell, dog (or cat) hair all over the bedding and more flies than I care to remember. The garden area was filthy and no nets on the window so if we opened the curtains (that didn't fully close) we would be seen by anyone outside. it was very cheap in price so I guess you get what you pay for..»

«Dette er et greit hotell/motell på veien fra Melbourne til Adelaide. Det er et ekte motell, dvs. at man har en dedikert parkeringsplass rett utenfor døren til hotellrommet. Rommet er stort og greit, men slitt. Badet er sikkert flere tiår gammelt. Vi hadde rom ut mot veien, og det hørtes ut som om vinduet stod oppe. Det var svært lytt! Frokosten var en kombinasjon av dyr og dårlig. Greit hotell for gjennomreise, men ikke noe mer.»
