«I first want to say the owners are very nice. I do think they wanted us to feel comfortable and welcome. The house is old and beautiful, my curiosity of growing up near this property made me want to stay here instead of Hampton Inn. The access to the living and dining room was appealing because my family still lives in keokuk and we don’t have anywhere big enough to relax and visit together. «Well kept, well equipped, well located. Had everything I needed for an impromptu two day getaway. Could’ve easily stayed a week, and while I was alone, I could also see this being an easy place to share with 2 couples and not get on each others’ nerves. Dean was great to deal with, communicated well, and promptly answered any questions I had. Fort Madison itself was a surprise - cool little river town with a friendly vibe. Bet it’s a blast in the spring and summer. Highly recommend. »

«WE loved the old Victorian style home. Spaces to gather in, a large, furnished kitchen with all the comforts of home. Bathrooms were big, clean & furnished with the essentials. Decor was wonderful with the woodwork & stain glass & color scheme. Wi-Fi was available with a large TV. easy locking system. Suggestion: could use a screen back door to keep the flies out when coming in & out. I know it's still being renovated, so next time I'll be excited to see the changes. I didn't need earplugs ...
