«We were passing through on a motorcycle trip. The hotel was just as described. Nothing too fancy and no interaction with anyone while checking in or out. There was a cool looking bar area but it was closed for a private party. Not many dinner choices around the area however we took a beautiful stroll along the water to the marina where we had a drink and dinner. »

They are still working on completing the renovations which was good for us because we got to go thru all the rooms & see all the furnishings. When we arrived Expedia hadn't notified staff (Dave & Pete) that we were coming but we had made reservations within an hour-ish before. So, our room hadn't been cleaned. «Well kept, well equipped, well located. Had everything I needed for an impromptu two day getaway. Could’ve easily stayed a week, and while I was alone, I could also see this being an easy place to share with 2 couples and not get on each others’ nerves. Dean was great to deal with, communicated well, and promptly answered any questions I had. Fort Madison itself was a surprise - cool little river town with a friendly vibe. Bet it’s a blast in the spring and summer. Highly recommend. »
