«Very cosy village with nice small houses next to eachother. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. Only thing that takes it down from a top score is that the resurant dinner was a bit tastless, and the room was a bit poorly ventilated, but maybe we were just unlucky with the room. Breakfast was great! And the plants on the village were more impressive than the botanical garden in George we had visited the day before.»

«We had an amazing stay at The Fernery. What makes this place amazing is the surroundings - overlooking the gorge and forest is nothing short of spectacular. The hot tubs and jacuzzis were incredible and we also made use of the spa which was wonderful too. The ladies there are fantastic. We thought the restaurant food was excellent and the staff serving there are great too.»

«Very warm welcome and nice huts In a really wild part of South Africa. Excellent and generously portioned food. Only downside is the drive to get there; the property is a good hour of dirt track off the main road and the drive is hairy. It should be only recommended for people work a utility or 4wd. »

«We stayed with our family for 3 days. The property was very spacious, the kitchen very well equipped. And we really appreciated the Nespresso machine and coffee pods! There are 2 showers with really good water pressure and hot water. The beds are really comfortable and the electric heating blankets were much appreciated. What a good attention. Thando, the caretaker was very available. We didn’t use the pool because of the weather. Everything is close by, the garden is wonderful. It can get old ...

«The cottage was as charming as described. Our host provided wood, which was lovely in the indoor fireplace on a wet chilly day. The kitchen was well equipped and the outdoor shower was exactly as described. A small hiking trail on site, resident wildlife and quiet made it a peaceful getaway. »

«Nice facility, although it may s quite old, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. There is a wood stove which they provided wood for and it warmed the place up quite nicely. The kitchen could be better stocked if you were to stay there for a few days but it has the basics. I would stay again if in the area.»
